They were acontest, a competition. To see who would 'win', which nation was the smartestand best. It's like the body builder who likes to flex, or a rich person who likesto show off his wealth. It's a tangible expression of what they are capable of.

Brilliant!I hope they have full HD and 3D cameras. Space Station 3D and Hubble 3D aretruely amazing films.
