"Stealth" in this connotatio¬n, refers to how silent the rotor is, not the radar dampening technology of the F-22, Stealth Fighter and Stealth Bomber. China harvested the Australian solution to stealth detection for the DWL002. The Australian¬s of course solved that particular nugget in 1992.

You should see the report on the last airshow with Chinese supersonic drones with supersonic missiles. You can buy one now if you want. The only difference in US technology is that US drones can be stealth and you know thats not much of a lead like 1 year.

- rain missiles down on our cities (either convention¬al or nuclear) - Thanks to both their own engineers and the help from Iranian engineers, they are equal to or better than the US.
- design massively parallel supercompu¬ters - the FASTEST one on earth is Chinese.
- receive real-time data in the field - every officer in the People's Army has laptops with satt-comm capability¬.
- Sink US carriers within 200 miles of China.
- Splash US aircraft within 100 miles of China - China has S-300 systems and is working on an S-400/500 equivalent¬.

Impressive¬. Though I don't see what the point of an unmanned helicopter is. If you going to use the helicopter to move personell probably doesn't need to be unnamed. If you going to use it for airstrikes surely an unmanned drone would be better.

Have to agree with every aspect with your comments. Besides, the efficiency of staying in the air with a helicopter is nowhere near what our drones can do, so I am not sure what benefits an unmanned helicopter will have. Perhaps China has their own version of our F-35 program, in which the military contractor is trying to fleece them out of money for military stuff like this. When China starts fielding flying saucers that operate off of di-lithium crystals, or anti-gravi¬tational propulsion systems using element 115, then I will worry.

Impressive¬. Though I don't see what the point of an unmanned helicopter is. If you going to use the helicopter to move personell probably doesn't need to be unnamed. If you going to use it for airstrikes surely an unmanned drone would be better.

YOKOSUKA, Japan — The U.S. is developing aircraft carrier-based drones that could provide a crucial edge as it tries to counter China's military rise.

American officials have been tightlipped about where the unmanned armed planes might be used, but a top Navy officer has told The Associated Press that some would likely be deployed in Asia.
