All this speculative talk about war over and over- Fact is, if there is a conflict it would be because of something big and out of the ordinary. Right now, the border issue is a stagmire and everyone is keeping the status quo. I don't think there will be another war like in 1962 unless one party decides to go nuts or the entire region becomes un-stabilized first- By then everyone would know. The only reasonable guess for a potential (although unlikely) skirmish would be in the South China Sea and that does not directly involve India.

India is such a Tiger that you have to find a life in Europe. Don't make us laugh. India dosn't have what it takes, and never will have the mental stature to be a tough world power like the US or China. Even a tiny country like Britain, miniscule in size compared to India was able to throw it's weight around. Indians talk tough but they'll always be the pawns of other 'real' world powers.

China & India won't start any type of war or world war. Both have enough nuke and missile to act as deterence against each other. Forget previous Indo-China War, it was back because of Nehru peaceful co-existence policy and china made a blunder by attacking India. One weakness of the Chinese military is that they lack experience. China has not fought any war for some 30 years. China is special in that the Chinese government has no money for the military, which only receives about 1.5% GDP, while India has been spending 2.8% for the military buildup. That's because China did not manage money very well, in comparison to India. China loaned lots of money to the USA, which can go bankrupt any time so China may not get anything back. In contrast, Indians deposit the money in Swiss banks, which is earning tremendous amount of interests for some Indians.

As the whole world knows, China is on the verge of expanding and strengthening its military and naval strength to achieve its ulterior motive of establishing its hegemony in the South East Asian Region. Keeping this goal in mind, China is developing the ports in Pakistan, Burma and developing very close relationship with Sri Lanka. An addition of aircraft carrier is just another proof of China's effort to fulfill its ultimate objective. Even though China is saying that this addition of an aircraft carrier is for defensive purpose and its neighbors ought not to worry about this inclusion, one should not take China on its face value. There is no country in the South East Asia (including Japan) which can compete with China militarily. The only country which has some strength to give hard time to China is India, in the event of war. Hence, the addition of this aircraft carrier is for the use of its Naval forces against India. India should not forget the famous 1962 Chinese slogan - 'HINDI CHINI BHAI BHAI' - after which India had to face an invasion from China. The rest is history. INDIA NEEDS TO KEEP ITS GUARD UP 24/7 AND DON'T GET MESMERIZED WHAT CHINA SAYS - CHINA SPEAKS FROM BOTH SIDES OF ITS MOUTH.

For some reason, I am doubtful....This is how World War II started. When Japan first started in Asia, the country at that time said the same thing about building their warships and planes.

One weakness of the Chinese military is that they lack experience. China has not fought any war for some 30 years. China is special in that the Chinese government has no money for the military, which only receives about 1.5% GDP, while India has been spending 2.8% for the military buildup. That's because China did not manage money very well, in comparison to India. China loaned lots of money to the USA, which can go bankrupt any time so China may not get anything back. In contrast, Indians deposit the money in Swiss banks, which is earning tremendous amount of interests for some Indians.

Oh I get it, you are just being sardonic. Defense spending vs. GDP: India 2.7%, China 2.1% (110 billion) and the USA 4.8% (700 billion) of GDP. Given that the Chinese economy is 6 times that of India, you can do the math there. Can't you be a little less obvious? GOI keep monies in Swiss Banks, really....

As the whole world knows, China is on the verge of expanding and strengthening its military and naval strength to achieve its ulterior motive of establishing its hegemony in the South East Asian Region. Keeping this goal in mind, China is developing the ports in Pakistan, Burma and developing very close relationship with Sri Lanka. An addition of aircraft carrier is just another proof of China's effort to fulfill its ultimate objective. Even though China is saying that this addition of an aircraft carrier is for defensive purpose and its neighbors ought not to worry about this inclusion, one should not take China on its face value. There is no country in the South East Asia (including Japan) which can compete with China militarily. The only country which has some strength to give hard time to China is India, in the event of war. Hence, the addition of this aircraft carrier is for the use of its Naval forces against India. India should not forget the famous 1962 Chinese slogan - 'HINDI CHINI BHAI BHAI' - after which India had to face an invasion from China. The rest is history. INDIA NEEDS TO KEEP ITS GUARD UP 24/7 AND DON'T GET MESMERIZED WHAT CHINA SAYS - CHINA SPEAKS FROM BOTH SIDES OF ITS MOUTH.

For some reason, I am doubtful....This is how World War II started. When Japan first started in Asia, the country at that time said the same thing about building their warships and planes.
