News had it that these two Uighur pulled their guns and killed two Vietnamese border police when their appearance and motives are dubious to the authorities. They then turned back to China and the Chinese authorities brought the 'dangerous' men down.
Wording the title by highlighting that Chinese police shoot dead Uighur men( without revealing the other half of the story) reflected Reuters position in supporting the terrorist-linked Uighur who do not represent the majority friendly Uighur.

Using the languages and logic of Reuters, you could have said that those french Journalists were killed in violence between the Muslims and the editorial board. “在过去的两年里，中国有数以百计的人在主体汉族与维族人的暴力冲突中而丧生。这个穆斯林少数民族来自于中国西部的新疆地区。”
