我一直觉得Mandarin这词有贬义

机翻的吧。有一半是自动脑补，猜的。

唉，“新的世界秩序”，英国佬这是站队认老大了？拜托，真正的老大活得好好的呢。

文章的意思是希望英国领导人高傲一点，硬气一点，对从前看不起的中国人怎么能这样友好。

Li responded graciously, as one mightexpect of a colonial governor bestowing largesse on his new dependency. He hadmuch enjoyed meeting the Queen, he said, and was looking forward to"creating huge energy". Presumably a reference to the deal that theFrench-owned Hinkley Point nuclear power station was to be financed withChinese money.

At this point, the simultaneous headphonetranslation failed. Li was unbothered as he delivered a lengthy reply, butCameron started to look around anxiously。


卡梅伦还在死命支撑没有失态，可是这时候英国广播公司的二货记者凯丽格雷茜突然发难，用普通话问了李一个关于中国侵犯人权的问题。这时同声传译耳机突然出现故障！李毫不介意地接着发表了一个冗长的答复，但是卡梅伦却是尴尬地四处张望（真是皇帝不急急首相哦）。


Thereafter, there were long delays as thetranslators took centre stage. Despite speaking at breakneck speed, the Chinesetranslations of Cameron's remarks took far longer than the original English."I'm sorry everyone," the translator might have been saying,"but this bloke keeps going on about the EU and other stuff we don't careabout.

Lefties like to run down our country but infact the relationship with Chinais very warm and exports to Chinaare growing very rapidly, at 17% pa. Premier Li said that they had just signeddeals with the UKworth over $30bn.
