A 62-year-old disabled widow has been hit with a demand from British Gas for ￡104,948.80 - even though she only has electricity.
Maria Martin was stunned when 38 successive bills landed through her letterbox this week, with the final one for the six figure sum.
The former shop worker said that her one-bedroom flat in Whitstable is not even worth the amount.
What's more, she doesn't even use gas.
She said she had contacted the energy giant and it had emerged she was mistakenly billed for the entire block of flats she lives in.
'They came round with a bunch of flowers and apologised.'
The next day she received another letter.
