Despite Volkswagen’s DSG gearboxes being generally bulletproof, Chinese customers have had problems with their DSG-equipped cars since last year. VW officials have acknowledged the faults, have apologized for the inconvenience and have increased the warranty for the gearboxes to an unprecedented 10 years and 160,000Km (100,000miles).

In February, VW recalled the affected cars, in order to install a software update, however it was not a fully-fledged recall, as they deemed it not to be a safety issue. The software updated did fix problems at first, but the over 500,000 affected cars from VW and Skoda came back to the dealerships with even more problems than before. This very widespread problem may affect VW's credibility on the Chinese market, but they will definitely figure out a way to reinstate their image, with more than just a warranty extension.

Audi Canada wants 9500 to put in a new transmission. Why would anyone do that.LOL. So Audi Canada tells me that they have not come across this problem. Well who would put 9500 into a 17000 dollar car LOL. There sevise is burtal and there attitude is the same. The USA put out a 10 year 150000KM recall on the DSG but Audi does not do it in all Countries. WHY???? If it's a problem in China, USA, Canada why not the same recall. Go to the internet and type in anythinf about the DSG and you can see it's every where.

哈哈哈，可不仅在中国，在哪都有这个问题。在加拿大他们甚至都不卖配件，就是让你换整个传动装置。那是2005年，奥迪TT运动版，11万公里，值17000美元。奥迪要9500美元去换一个新的传动装置。这事谁做的出来？哈哈哈。奥迪还告诉我他们没遇到过这个问题。谁愿意在值17000美元的车上花9500美元？笑死人了。客服蛮横无理而且都是这个态度。在美国，执行10年150000公里召回DSG，但是奥迪不是在所有国家都这样做。这是为什么？？？？如果在中国、美国、加拿大都有这个问题为什么不执行同样的召回政策？在网上搜DSG你会发现在哪都有这个问题。

There went all his savings! :O One expects to make some repairs from time to time? but when he (and we, his parents) found out that the 2007-2009 models were being fixed/recalled by VW of A but not this first year that this system was installed in the GTI? well? that just doesn?t sit right!! How could they leave out the very first year that this problem existed (2006) in their help for people who are having this total loss of power problem?!!
So? we now have someone who was a complete VW GTI ?evangelist? who told everyone how wonderful his car was? now so unhappy with the VW of A for not making good on ALL the years that have this problem? His thoughts on this are: If they won?t help with this? what next? He now does not trust his GTI, is planning on selling it, and is telling everyone he knows about how VW has NOT stood behind him. He has a lot of friends on fb as well, and believe me, they were following his ?nightmare saga? all the way from Michigan?. to Tennessee! They know?
What else can be done? Any suggestions?

为了攒这个学期的钱（MBA），他在夏令营工作，在从密西根到田纳西的回家路上，他的GTI经历了死亡闪烁。我们都看过新闻。你能想象他和他的车所经历的噩梦吗？勉强的按时回到田纳西去上课。甚至没有时间去公寓拿他的书。
一个星期后，他用卡车送到查特怒加市大众（某人借了他一辆卡车），更换控制DSG的电脑，花费达到2480+美元！那是他全部的积蓄！:O有人希望时不时的修理一下来解闷吗？我们发现大众召回维修2007~2009版的车，却不包括这个最初的安装在GTI上的版本？这他妈的合理吗！！他们怎么能不管这最初的存在问题的车辆（2006），还要他们的客户自己掏全部的花销请他们帮忙？！！
那么，还有谁有完整的大众GTI？福音书的作者吗？谁能告诉大家他的车得是多模神奇的呀？对于这件事情非常不开心。他是这样想的：如果他们不解决这个事情，那下一个呢？他不再信任GTI了，打算卖掉它，告诉所有他认识的人，大众是多么的不厚道。他在非死不可上有很多朋友，相信我，他们都会相信他的说法，噩梦传说？从密西根到田纳西？他们都会知道。

In Asia, lately, VW's Chinese clients are being better treated since the got a 10 year warranty on DSG7.

I'm from egypt and i own a 2012 golf having the dsg7 gearbox. I have faced the issue at 11000 km where the dealer had to change the clutch pads on one of the shafts under warantee. No i'm facing the issue again @ 26000 km .. This issue is available here in egypt with ALL vw DSG gearboxes coming in passat , jetta and tiguan.
