Here everyone lives in a villa and owns cars — imported cars.

There is no doubt in progress of china, but in addition China still have a lot of poverty which is unexplained in this article.

This article doesn’t say how exactly the change came about. We would like to know how this transformation came about and how the village mixes traditional communism and capitalism.
This is poor journalism. Looks like the author of this piece just wanted to share his incomplete information with others.

We have to learn alot of things from china.. they are our role models… we need to follow china’s way… here all the politicians are chor (corrupt) and no politician has been hang till death till now for doing big scandals and they are still moving out freely.. see Lalu, A Raja, Madhu koda, Mayavati, chagan bhujbal, vilasrao chavan and lot of others..they are playing with the countries public property…countries growth… see our fiscal deficit… if countries income is less then expenses the balance is called fiscal deficit… how it is possible ?? we are paying lot of taxes directly and indirectly… where this money is going ?? in swiss A/c or any other place ??? need to checkout guys….

Agreed our politicians are corrupt and not good enough, do we exchange that for a dictatorship? Just because we didn’t like a subject at school, did we abandon education? I guess not.
China has progressed far and fast, but at what cost? Do you know, during the Bejing Olympics, thousands of families were packed off onto trucks and sent off to the countryside, their homes razed to build stadiums and multiplexes….. to impress the world about China. Can we for one moment imagine that during the CWG, we can manage to do it and as a nation condone the action.

My friend,
Middle class and upper middle class people can sit all day and talk about freedom’s virtues. At the end of the day, nothing matters when one has no food on his/her plate. The so called non-existense of freedom in China is just a propoganda by US of A. I’m from India and have lived in both China and USA. Believe me, India can break the shackles of poverty and corruption more easily by the Chinese form of governance than the failed democracy as we have it.

You mean to tell me that there was no black out on the Nobel Prize ceremony, no one was evicted from Bejing to beautify the city and that one can have as many kids if so one wishes? Freedom matters to those who have lived without it. Try living in a room all by yourself without any communication for a week. Then even a whiff of fresh air would precious. I am from India but have been often a second class citizen coz, I was from the south and staying in the north east.
Yes, do agree abt the bit of India breaking the shackles….but then we need to get good leaders

Read in between lines.
Workers working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.
1. Are these workers residents of Huaxi?
2. What is the living conditions and standards of those workers?
China is a modern day Rome, where political prisoners, non communist commoners have to live and work like slaves. Now that the whole world’s eyes are on China (Mostly jealous) things are bound to change. But fact remains that Rome flourished thanks to it’s slaves, USA thanks to black slaves in past century, China thanks to the sacrifices of these hapless people who work 24×7

1. Government that is open and accountable
2. The Chinese govt valued a friendship with India (It would have been natural had these power mongers ruling China and Nehru was not around)
Culturally, politically and economically India and China co-existed harmoniously until the Chinese power mongers and Nehru (By not acting early and playing double game) spoiled it all.

While I do not support or justify India’s corruption or do not agree to the USA throwing it’s weight around Mr krishna has made very valid observations about China. China is still a dictatorship ruled by a few headstrong individuals.In any totalitarian regime the dictatorship censors what the outside world should see and what it should not.In other words whatever China shows or the figures that it projects to the outside world cannot be believed since everything is in the control of a few individuals.A dictator will never rule in the interest of the nation, he rules according to his whims and fancies.
Coming to India, I accept that corrupt politicians have literally looted this country, but at the same time India is not at the mercy of these politicians, there is always ahope for change.A few instances are.
1. T.N Seshan took over as CEC and became a nightmare to all unscrupulous politicians.
2. Laloo who at one point of time was undefeatable in Bihar had to make way for Nitish Kumar.
3. Even Indira gandhi who was virtually “India”(almost a dictator) had to make way for Morarji.These things were possible in India thanks to elections.
Iam opposed to dictatorship only because they hold unlimited and unaccountable power and whatever they do cannot be questioned. No single authority should have absolute power. I welcome any questions/comments on my views

Politicians are not aliens or chinese or Americans. They too are fellow Indians. We Indians have fallen into the bad habit of taking short-cuts. Gradually the system has become so rotten and we all are responsible for that. The day we shed our communal affiliations like caste and belief, then we will have a much better national vision. Until then the people with a national vision will be labeled as non-secular. The real patriots shall be flocked along with the real communal morons.

agree…i live in china so i know it better. My dear friend its work culture not slave culture or babu culture. 24 hours electricity, water , gas, transportation system is much better and organised …toilets for everyone no gangrapes,no honour killing etc……… streets are wider than our so- called high ways and many more …so please if u don’t know don’t write anything.

If you live in CV Raman Nagar and think it is Bangalore, you will write a lot of great things about the City. But entire Bangalore isnt CV Raman Nagar. Similarly the rosy picture of IT and front office isn’t exactly what China is all about. Unlike India, you wont be even allowed outside the so called SEZ. Do you know a company called Foxconn the major supplier for Apple iPhone? Think of the living standard of “normal” worker there. Do you know China is involved in building Rail roads in Nigeria and other african countries? Do you know what kind of Chinese work there? And their condition?
Yes all these things are things I have not seen with my own eyes, but have gained from corroborating information available online. If seeing is believing then we are not fit to live in this information age!

You are right that they do not learn English. Do you know the learn Engineering, medicine and all post graduate courses in Chinese. It is amazing how they have done that.Their engineering and technological capabilities are second to none. It really points out that knowledge of English alone is nothing great : maybe useful for a BPO job, that is all

Reading all the messages given below , I just have one doubt – Are we so slow in improving because we are so good in complaining ? We read an article on China and instead of thinking of ways to duplicate that success here , we are more interested in complaining about everything associated with our country – the politicians , the beaurocrats , the religions , OTHER people ; infact everybody except ourselves . Are we so impotent that we can’t do anything for our country except sit and blame others ? Any improvement we need to make for our country starts with ourselves . Tomorrow if we decide that we won’t dump our garbage on the streets , pay bribes or jump queues , day after it will spread . It will take time but eventually the whole country will improve . And for all those losers who tell me that i’m impractical , every single achievement in human history was made by somebody who believed in themselves .

You are right Sunil, we Indians are just busy in complaining. Its because in India, a person is not Indian- but a tamil, gujrati, bihari, marathi, etc. whereas in CHina, all are CHINESE.
May be this be the reason.

This is poor journalism. Looks like the author of this piece just wanted to share his incomplete information with others.

My friend,
Middle class and upper middle class people can sit all day and talk about freedom’s virtues. At the end of the day, nothing matters when one has no food on his/her plate. The so called non-existense of freedom in China is just a propoganda by US of A. I’m from India and have lived in both China and USA. Believe me, India can break the shackles of poverty and corruption more easily by the Chinese form of governance than the failed democracy as we have it.

You mean to tell me that there was no black out on the Nobel Prize ceremony, no one was evicted from Bejing to beautify the city and that one can have as many kids if so one wishes? Freedom matters to those who have lived without it. Try living in a room all by yourself without any communication for a week. Then even a whiff of fresh air would precious. I am from India but have been often a second class citizen coz, I was from the south and staying in the north east.
Yes, do agree abt the bit of India breaking the shackles….but then we need to get good leaders

Workers working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.
1. Are these workers residents of Huaxi?
2. What is the living conditions and standards of those workers?
China is a modern day Rome, where political prisoners, non communist commoners have to live and work like slaves. Now that the whole world’s eyes are on China (Mostly jealous) things are bound to change. But fact remains that Rome flourished thanks to it’s slaves, USA thanks to black slaves in past century, China thanks to the sacrifices of these hapless people who work 24×7

While I do not support or justify India’s corruption or do not agree to the USA throwing it’s weight around Mr krishna has made very valid observations about China. China is still a dictatorship ruled by a few headstrong individuals.In any totalitarian regime the dictatorship censors what the outside world should see and what it should not.In other words whatever China shows or the figures that it projects to the outside world cannot be believed since everything is in the control of a few individuals.A dictator will never rule in the interest of the nation, he rules according to his whims and fancies.
Coming to India, I accept that corrupt politicians have literally looted this country, but at the same time India is not at the mercy of these politicians, there is always ahope for change.A few instances are.
1. T.N Seshan took over as CEC and became a nightmare to all unscrupulous politicians.
2. Laloo who at one point of time was undefeatable in Bihar had to make way for Nitish Kumar.
3. Even Indira gandhi who was virtually “India”(almost a dictator) had to make way for Morarji.These things were possible in India thanks to elections.
Iam opposed to dictatorship only because they hold unlimited and unaccountable power and whatever they do cannot be questioned. No single authority should have absolute power. I welcome any questions/comments on my views

Politicians are not aliens or chinese or Americans. They too are fellow Indians. We Indians have fallen into the bad habit of taking short-cuts. Gradually the system has become so rotten and we all are responsible for that. The day we shed our communal affiliations like caste and belief, then we will have a much better national vision. agree…i live in china so i know it better. My dear friend its work culture not slave culture or babu culture. 24 hours electricity, water , gas, transportation system is much better and organised …toilets for everyone no gangrapes,no honour killing etc……… streets are wider than our so- called high ways and many more …so please if u don’t know don’t write anything.

If you live in CV Raman Nagar and think it is Bangalore, you will write a lot of great things about the City. But entire Bangalore isnt CV Raman Nagar. Similarly the rosy picture of IT and front office isn’t exactly what China is all about. Unlike India, you wont be even allowed outside the so called SEZ. Do you know a company called Foxconn the major supplier for Apple iPhone? Think of the living standard of “normal” worker there. Do you know China is involved in building Rail roads in Nigeria and other african countries? Do you know what kind of Chinese work there? And their condition?
Yes all these things are things I have not seen with my own eyes, but have gained from corroborating information available online. If seeing is believing then we are not fit to live in this information age!

You are right that they do not learn English. Do you know the learn Engineering, medicine and all post graduate courses in Chinese. It is amazing how they have done that.Their engineering and technological capabilities are second to none. It really points out that knowledge of English alone is nothing great : maybe useful for a BPO job, that is all

Reading all the messages given below , I just have one doubt – Are we so slow in improving because we are so good in complaining ? We read an article on China and instead of thinking of ways to duplicate that success here , we are more interested in complaining about everything associated with our country – the politicians , the beaurocrats , the religions , OTHER people ; infact everybody except ourselves . Are we so impotent that we can’t do anything for our country except sit and blame others ? Any improvement we need to make for our country starts with ourselves . Tomorrow if we decide that we won’t dump our garbage on the streets , pay bribes or jump queues , day after it will spread . It will take time but eventually the whole country will improve . And for all those losers who tell me that i’m impractical , every single achievement in human history was made by somebody who believed in themselves .

You are right Sunil, we Indians are just busy in complaining. Its because in India, a person is not Indian- but a tamil, gujrati, bihari, marathi, etc. whereas in CHina, all are CHINESE.
May be this be the reason.

My friend,
Middle class and upper middle class people can sit all day and talk about freedom’s virtues. At the end of the day, nothing matters when one has no food on his/her plate. The so called non-existense of freedom in China is just a propoganda by US of A. I’m from India and have lived in both China and USA. Believe me, India can break the shackles of poverty and corruption more easily by the Chinese form of governance than the failed democracy as we have it.

You mean to tell me that there was no black out on the Nobel Prize ceremony, no one was evicted from Bejing to beautify the city and that one can have as many kids if so one wishes? Freedom matters to those who have lived without it. Try living in a room all by yourself without any communication for a week. Then even a whiff of fresh air would precious. I am from India but have been often a second class citizen coz, I was from the south and staying in the north east.
Yes, do agree abt the bit of India breaking the shackles….but then we need to get good leaders

1. Are these workers residents of Huaxi?
2. What is the living conditions and standards of those workers?
China is a modern day Rome, where political prisoners, non communist commoners have to live and work like slaves. Now that the whole world’s eyes are on China (Mostly jealous) things are bound to change. But fact remains that Rome flourished thanks to it’s slaves, USA thanks to black slaves in past century, China thanks to the sacrifices of these hapless people who work 24×7

While I do not support or justify India’s corruption or do not agree to the USA throwing it’s weight around Mr krishna has made very valid observations about China. China is still a dictatorship ruled by a few headstrong individuals.In any totalitarian regime the dictatorship censors what the outside world should see and what it should not.In other words whatever China shows or the figures that it projects to the outside world cannot be believed since everything is in the control of a few individuals.A dictator will never rule in the interest of the nation, he rules according to his whims and fancies.
Coming to India, I accept that corrupt politicians have literally looted this country, but at the same time India is not at the mercy of these politicians, there is always ahope for change.A few instances are.
1. T.N Seshan took over as CEC and became a nightmare to all unscrupulous politicians.
2. Laloo who at one point of time was undefeatable in Bihar had to make way for Nitish Kumar.
3. Even Indira gandhi who was virtually “India”(almost a dictator) had to make way for Morarji.These things were possible in India thanks to elections.
Iam opposed to dictatorship only because they hold unlimited and unaccountable power and whatever they do cannot be questioned. No single authority should have absolute power. I welcome any questions/comments on my views

Politicians are not aliens or chinese or Americans. They too are fellow Indians. We Indians have fallen into the bad habit of taking short-cuts. Gradually the system has become so rotten and we all are responsible for that. The day we shed our communal affiliations like caste and belief, then we will have a much better national vision. Until then the people with a national vision will be labeled as non-secular. The real patriots shall be flocked along with the real communal morons.

My dear friend its work culture not slave culture or babu culture. 24 hours electricity, water , gas, transportation system is much better and organised …toilets for everyone no gangrapes,no honour killing etc……… streets are wider than our so- called high ways and many more …so please if u don’t know don’t write anything.

If you live in CV Raman Nagar and think it is Bangalore, you will write a lot of great things about the City. But entire Bangalore isnt CV Raman Nagar. Similarly the rosy picture of IT and front office isn’t exactly what China is all about. Unlike India, you wont be even allowed outside the so called SEZ. Do you know a company called Foxconn the major supplier for Apple iPhone? Think of the living standard of “normal” worker there. Do you know China is involved in building Rail roads in Nigeria and other african countries? Do you know what kind of Chinese work there? And their condition?
Yes all these things are things I have not seen with my own eyes, but have gained from corroborating information available online. If seeing is believing then we are not fit to live in this information age!

You are right that they do not learn English. Do you know the learn Engineering, medicine and all post graduate courses in Chinese. It is amazing how they have done that.Their engineering and technological capabilities are second to none. It really points out that knowledge of English alone is nothing great : maybe useful for a BPO job, that is all

Reading all the messages given below , I just have one doubt – Are we so slow in improving because we are so good in complaining ? We read an article on China and instead of thinking of ways to duplicate that success here , we are more interested in complaining about everything associated with our country – the politicians , the beaurocrats , the religions , OTHER people ; infact everybody except ourselves . Are we so impotent that we can’t do anything for our country except sit and blame others ? Any improvement we need to make for our country starts with ourselves . Tomorrow if we decide that we won’t dump our garbage on the streets , pay bribes or jump queues , day after it will spread . It will take time but eventually the whole country will improve . And for all those losers who tell me that i’m impractical , every single achievement in human history was made by somebody who believed in themselves .

You are right Sunil, we Indians are just busy in complaining. Its because in India, a person is not Indian- but a tamil, gujrati, bihari, marathi, etc. whereas in CHina, all are CHINESE.
May be this be the reason.

My friend,
Middle class and upper middle class people can sit all day and talk about freedom’s virtues. At the end of the day, nothing matters when one has no food on his/her plate. The so called non-existense of freedom in China is just a propoganda by US of A. I’m from India and have lived in both China and USA. Believe me, India can break the shackles of poverty and corruption more easily by the Chinese form of governance than the failed democracy as we have it.

You mean to tell me that there was no black out on the Nobel Prize ceremony, no one was evicted from Bejing to beautify the city and that one can have as many kids if so one wishes? Freedom matters to those who have lived without it. Try living in a room all by yourself without any communication for a week. Then even a whiff of fresh air would precious. I am from India but have been often a second class citizen coz, I was from the south and staying in the north east.
Yes, do agree abt the bit of India breaking the shackles….but then we need to get good leaders

China is a modern day Rome, where political prisoners, non communist commoners have to live and work like slaves. While I do not support or justify India’s corruption or do not agree to the USA throwing it’s weight around Mr krishna has made very valid observations about China. China is still a dictatorship ruled by a few headstrong individuals.In any totalitarian regime the dictatorship censors what the outside world should see and what it should not.In other words whatever China shows or the figures that it projects to the outside world cannot be believed since everything is in the control of a few individuals.A dictator will never rule in the interest of the nation, he rules according to his whims and fancies.
Coming to India, I accept that corrupt politicians have literally looted this country, but at the same time India is not at the mercy of these politicians, there is always ahope for change.A few instances are.
1. T.N Seshan took over as CEC and became a nightmare to all unscrupulous politicians.
2. Laloo who at one point of time was undefeatable in Bihar had to make way for Nitish Kumar.
3. Even Indira gandhi who was virtually “India”(almost a dictator) had to make way for Morarji.These things were possible in India thanks to elections.
Iam opposed to dictatorship only because they hold unlimited and unaccountable power and whatever they do cannot be questioned. No single authority should have absolute power. I welcome any questions/comments on my views

Politicians are not aliens or chinese or Americans. They too are fellow Indians. We Indians have fallen into the bad habit of taking short-cuts. Gradually the system has become so rotten and we all are responsible for that. The day we shed our communal affiliations like caste and belief, then we will have a much better national vision. Until then the people with a national vision will be labeled as non-secular. The real patriots shall be flocked along with the real communal morons.

agree…i live in china so i know it better. My dear friend its work culture not slave culture or babu culture. 24 hours electricity, water , gas, transportation system is much better and organised …toilets for everyone no gangrapes,no honour killing etc……… streets are wider than our so- called high ways and many more …so please if u don’t know don’t write anything.

If you live in CV Raman Nagar and think it is Bangalore, you will write a lot of great things about the City. But entire Bangalore isnt CV Raman Nagar. Similarly the rosy picture of IT and front office isn’t exactly what China is all about. Unlike India, you wont be even allowed outside the so called SEZ. Do you know a company called Foxconn the major supplier for Apple iPhone? Think of the living standard of “normal” worker there. Do you know China is involved in building Rail roads in Nigeria and other african countries? Do you know what kind of Chinese work there? And their condition?
Yes all these things are things I have not seen with my own eyes, but have gained from corroborating information available online. If seeing is believing then we are not fit to live in this information age!

You are right that they do not learn English. Do you know the learn Engineering, medicine and all post graduate courses in Chinese. It is amazing how they have done that.Their engineering and technological capabilities are second to none. It really points out that knowledge of English alone is nothing great : maybe useful for a BPO job, that is all

Reading all the messages given below , I just have one doubt – Are we so slow in improving because we are so good in complaining ? We read an article on China and instead of thinking of ways to duplicate that success here , we are more interested in complaining about everything associated with our country – the politicians , the beaurocrats , the religions , OTHER people ; infact everybody except ourselves . Are we so impotent that we can’t do anything for our country except sit and blame others ? Any improvement we need to make for our country starts with ourselves . Tomorrow if we decide that we won’t dump our garbage on the streets , pay bribes or jump queues , day after it will spread . It will take time but eventually the whole country will improve . And for all those losers who tell me that i’m impractical , every single achievement in human history was made by somebody who believed in themselves .

You are right Sunil, we Indians are just busy in complaining. Its because in India, a person is not Indian- but a tamil, gujrati, bihari, marathi, etc. whereas in CHina, all are CHINESE.
May be this be the reason.
