Another NATO helicopter crashes in Afghanistan

For the second time in three days, a NATO helicopter has crashed in Afghanistan.

According to an ISAF spokesman, the accident occurred in the eastern Paktia province. The helicopter made a hard landing. No casualties or enemy activity were reported by NATO.

A Taliban spokesman, however, claimed responsibility for the attack, adding they had killed 33 soldiers. It's been only two days since 38 servicemen were killed when their helicopter was shot down by enemy fire.

NATO said coalition troops were working to recover every last piece of the aircraft and that troops have secured the crash site and are conducting an investigation.

German Brigadier General Carsten Jacobson, a spokesman for the US-led coalition said at a briefing that, although it was the deadliest single incident for US forces in the decade-long war,ISAF won't be deterred from their commitment to take on the enemy.

Brigadier General Carsten Jacobson said, "The incident,as tragic as it was in its magnitude, will have no influence on the conduct of operations. It was a tragic day, it was a tragic loss, we suffer wounded and death every day, the campaign in going to continue, we will continue to relentlessly pursue the enemy in the fight that we are taking to them
