Japan asks for remote-controlled robots, which can be used to go inside a reactor. The Stuttgarter Nachrichten reports that "in Germany, such robots are available in the nuclear facilities," and quoted the President of the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief, Christian Unger. "Once detailed requirements from Tokyo EXIST, Germany will consult those states who could provide such robots to Japan," said Unger.
