Very unlikely IMO, both from a political and military point of view. Why should China do anything that would harm it's economy? And from the military point of view I'd say that China is not abeld to carry out such a hughe scale amphibious operation because it's Navy is not capable enough to support such an operation in terms of transport and security means. Neither can it's airforce because it lacks force-multipliers such as AWACS and tankers. It has some planes with a range that is high enough to reach targets in the South Chinese Sea (J-11) but no sufficient amount of them is availible for constant airsupport

So .... what exactly is so bullyish? All major countries (the 'US, Russia and others) have military plans for any eventuality. The US probably has plans for a potential war with Canada, France for a potential conflict with England or Germany and Russia for a potential conflict with China. Whilst a certain concern might be legitimate, the drama made of a military plan here is pretty hilarious

We could find similar records for France, UK, the US, etc. back in time. Nothing to be surprised, I guess.
However: the fact that the plan is being disclosed in that way makes it hard to believe it´s reliable.

Right now, they just don´t care because they know that neither Vietnam nor any other country (as Philipines demonstrated back in 94) won´t go to the war with them over few uninhabited islands and if they do it will be a quick local shirmish with their victory. And as for the few islands administrated by ROC, Taiwan won´t move a finger to defend them

I do not recall China has a good martial record when it comes to invading and colonizing other countries. However they are good at civil wars though

老美普通军迷好象对PLA的战略核力量不大了解...看过好几次美愤说要向中国扔核弹了,反而是英德的人出来和稀泥

Well they did, they invaded and colonized ancient Vietnam for like a thousand years before they were kicked out in around 1000 A.D and they continuously tried to invade but failed in later time.
You got the point about the economic strength, but economic strength and military strength are always together. When you have more money, you would try to at least show off your new car to your less-wealthy labor or to even bully him.
I think we have seen various show-off-presentation by China, the 'bullying' part is yet to be seen but it's not impossible.

You got the point about the economic strength, but economic strength and military strength are always together. When you have more money, you would try to at least show off your new car to your less-wealthy labor or to even bully him.
I think we have seen various show-off-presentation by China, the 'bullying' part is yet to be seen but it's not impossible.

井底之蛙、资讯不发达？都不是，这是他们zf的舆论使然（侧面打脸所谓西方言论自由），我在韩国留学的同学回来都反映，韩国电视台播放的有关中国的资料全是6、70年代的东西，他们去同学家做客，对方关切的询问他们是否见过电视机、手机、汽车一类的东西~~美国可能没这么夸张，但是在舆论导向上的思路应该也是这样，例如对xz、rq等内容的宣传~~
