美国在古巴岛的关达那摩海军基地惊传丑闻，基地司令、海军上校湼托顿(Capt. John R. Nettleton)疑因与女性民职人员有染，另涉及其夫之死，现已遭解职。

「美联社」及福斯新闻台22日均报导，湼托顿解职令于21日生效，暂时被派往杰克森维的东南军区，担任幕僚长。

美国海军发表声明说，湼托顿的职位，已由关达那摩基地参谋长葛雷上校暂代，此举係因湼托顿「领导统御能力已令人丧失信心」。除此之外，全桉正在调查之中，不便置评。

Capt. John R. Nettleton — the officer in charge of the naval base that contains the infamous Cuban prison — was fired Wednesday amid an investigation into the suspicious death of a commissary worker. Christopher Tur was found dead in the bay on Jan. 11. While investigating the death, the Navy discovered Nettleton was having an affair with Tur’s wife of 19 years. Under military law, adultery is a crime.
