I'm moreconcerned that the USA is building several of these missile defense destroyersto protect Europe form missile attack at the cost of about 15 billions US TaxDollars total give or take a billion. Why isn't Europe building their ownmissile defense destroyers and paying for them with their tax dollars. Nowonder I defense budget is as much as the next 15 nations because we pay todefend most of them as well as our own.
Instead our politicians want to cut allbenefits to our own citizens and increase the military budget. My question iswhy aren't programs like these destroyers cancelled seeing they have nothing todo with our own defense but yet not one of our politicians brings up how muchwe spend to protect other countries and creates a ill to limit or end all defensespending not directly related to or own defense.
That's why most of western Europe has freehealth care and great transit systems because they spend our tax dollars ontheir defense.

I read an assessment from a militaryanalyst group that estimates the "west" would lose 30,000 to 100,000troops, minimum, in a victorious ground war with Russia. That seems way toomuch for the "western" public to accept when you consider Russia isnot really even an ideological enemy anymore. That, of course, doesn't mentionthe very real possibility of nuclear war. Russia has close to 2,000 functionalnuclear weapons, with ICBMs, and though Russia would be annihilated, the"west" would loose tens of millions of people as well.

What is the end-game for NATO as it expandsto include all states bordering Russia to isolate and blockade Russia? Is that reducingor increasing tension and risk of war. Those states that border Russia are theleast likely to be targeted by Russia nuke in case of a NATO war againstRussia, hence they are the least to worry about the use of nuclear weaponsagainst them.
