BEIJING: India'splans to deploy BrahMos supersonic missiles in Arunachal Pradesh along theborder with China is a matter of "concern", a state-run daily heresaid on Wednesday.

北京讯：一份中国官办日报周三称，中国对印度计划将在阿鲁纳恰尔邦（藏南地区）沿着中国边境部署布拉莫斯超音速导弹表示“十分关注”。

Referring to thesuccessful testing of 290 km range BrahMos supersonic cruise missile by Indiaon Sunday, a report in the state-run Chinese edition of the Global Times said"the concern is because India has declared the deployment of three groupsof these missiles to enhance deterrence" at the Sino-Arunachal Pradeshborder.

对于印度上周日成功试射射程达到290公里的布拉莫斯超音速巡航导弹，由官办的环球时报中文版的一份报道称“关注是由于印度宣称部署三组这类型的导弹是出于在中国与阿鲁纳恰尔邦地区边境加强威慑力”

China refers toArunachal Pradesh as "Southern Tibet". At the same time, the dailyquoted analysts as saying that while China and India have developed militaryinfrastructure at the frontiers, a war between the two nuclear states is not anoption and the border posturing is a way to "find a compromisepoint".

It also highlightedthe Indo-Russian cooperation in developing the BrahMos missile. The new BrahMosregiment is equipped with the Block-III model which has wide angle plungingcapacity and is capable of striking behind mountains, the daily said.

同样值得关注的是，布拉莫斯导弹是印度和俄罗斯合作研发的。环球时报称，新的布拉莫斯导弹团装备了配置有Block-III定位系统的导弹，有了这种定位系统，导弹能够大角度地击中目标，有能力打击躲藏在山脉后面的目标。

Our real enemy is the West particularly the US, notChina (or Pakistan). At most, China is our competitor and a good one - justlike in a game of sports or chess. If we can keep up with them we are doinggood. We should look to China as our moltivator and "brother" and letthe past be the past so that we can all move forward and progress for thebetterment of our country, family and friends (which incidentally would be tothe biggest nighmare for the West). We need to re-invent ourselves from deepwithin, re-discover our inner self and emerge stronger and more united thanever to become the once-great ancient power that we were and can become in thefuture. We should not promote tension with our neighbours (if possible) and shouldnot simply adopt western ideologies, democracy and capitalism whole stock &barrel. Because China has taken that very difficult path post-1949 and wasridiculed by the whole world. In other words, China went against the grain andsucceed and in the process created something originally Chinese that suitedtheir own rich culture and history. What China did post-1949 during the Mao-erawas painful but it did finally forged a priceless unity for its people and itis paying great dividends now. When China was poor and backwards, they wereridiculed, made fun of & looked down upon. Now, when they are rich andsuccessful, everyone is jeolous and calling them names. It is unfair for thembut China doesn't care what we think, we were/are not the ones who put food ontheir tables - they didn't care back then and will not care in the future -that's the admiration I have for China. We ought to reflect on our own self andnot deflect negativities to others who is good. Peace amongst neighbours!
