MUMBAI: India will outpace China to become the world's largest economy by 2050, boasting a GDP of $86 trillion, forecasts a report by global property firm Knight Frank & Citi Private Bank. Leading the elephant's charge will be Mumbai and New Delhi, which will feature in the list of top 20 cities globally within the next 10 years.

Going only by GDP growth, the wealth report says Mumbai and New Delhi will rank among the top 20 global cities in the next decade. While Mumbai is ranked 16th, New Delhi is ranked 20th in the list of cities surveyed in terms of economic activity, political power, quality of life, and knowledge and influence.

This report is just a joke. It is next to impossible that India will become No.1 economy as far as our substandard politicians rule the country. We do not come anywhere near to China. Look at their cities, the discipline in the people and their love and commitment towards their country. One of our ex chief minister of Maharashtra wanted to make Mumbai another Shanghai; he was just daydreaming.

are taken, the property prices may come down by 60% to 75% just within 2 months like FDI must be banned in Real Estate. Investments in the Property must be banned. Resale must be banned. A person can not have more than one flat in same city which should not be of more than 500 sq. ft. for one person and if he has more areas of flat heavy tax must be imposed every year but he can not buy more than one flat in same city. Rent on the flat should not be more than 3 times the maintenance the Owner is paying to the Society, out of which 1/3 he must pay every month to the State Government as Tax because land should always be belonged to State Government. If the Flat is given on Rent on Leave and License basis, all the cost of Agreement Registration and Stamp Duty must be born by the Owner because he wants Registration of Agreement for his own safety. Brokerage on L/L flat should not be more than ½%. A person can not have any right to hold vacant land. He must start construction immediately within 6 months of the purchase of the land for the purpose for which it was purchased and construction must be completed within 2 years of the purchase of the land. Redevelopment must be banned and allowed only after the constructions on all vacant lands have been completed. Local trains must be started immediately without any delay between 1) Mumbai/Borivali to Dahanu 2) Dadar to Pune 3) Surat to Pune 4) Surat to Nasik 5) Ahmedabad to Surat 6) Ahmedabad to Rajkot 7) Rajkot to Porbandar 8) Rajkot to Veraval 9) Rajkot to Jamnagar 10) Rajkot to Bhavnagar by every half an hour for tremendous development and growth.

In a country whose over 40% people are below the poverty line and the standard set by the government for below poverty line is just an income of less than Rs. 28 per day ; where every day some scam or the other comes to surface, where honesty is a rare commodity, where 40% people are illiterate, where elected representatives have a price tag, where elections are fought on caste basis and voters are purchased, where corruption is rampant at every stage, where black money runs the economy, where money comes first and the nation last, where there is no governance and lawlessness is at the peak, etc. etc., any one dreaming of India becoming world's top economy is perhaps living in fools paradise.

why not?,to provide good education to all people, because educated society never choose the government only in the basis of cate,religion etc,..they will give the priority for development,quality of the candidates etc..selection of employees are in the basis of merit only(atleast key areas like army,DRDO,ISRO,Judiciary.etc.).Human resource are the most important resource of India same like oil for Gulf countries.

为什么不会？给所有人提供良好教育，因为一个受过良好教育的社会不会选择一个只关注种族、宗教等等的政府…他们会首先考虑发展、候选人的素质等等，选择公务员，只能看他的功绩如何（至少，在关键部门，像军队、国防、宇航局、司法等等这些部门）。人力资源是印度最重要的事情，就像石油对海湾国家那么重要。

haha.. If only it was so simple.... !! just using some regression model and a bit of statistics on paper does not mean, it's going to happen exactly the same way... This $stup1d firm would have done well by giving the PROBABILITY of achieving that growth by 2050 along with its $1lly report..!! These forecasters are a "piece of $-h-1-t" who could not even forecast the recession in 2009 and can not forecast any other future recession, but are so confident of something that is 40 years away!!! Ridiculous...

Every year the report increases 15-20 years for the development time.. last time i read it was by 2030 India will be no. 1 ...and now it is 2050.. no suprises !! .. Britishers please come back and rule us i think ur ruling was better than this congress rule... Congress has made this country people shameless!!

The whole Structure which is a CARTEL or SYNDICATE of Congress Party, Government, Judiciary, CBI, Police, Government & Public Servants, Mafia Politicians, Mafia Corporate, ISI Agents, Under World People etc. This whole Structure or Cartel or Syndicate must be Bomb Blasted and Destroyed to abolish Corruptions, Crimes, Wrong Doings, Injustice, Dirty Politics, Vices and Evils from the Politics, Governments and Society. This is the only way as there is no alternate of it.

Wishful thinking. So this means Indians will enjoy clean government. No corrupt politicians, no corrupt govt employees, no corrupt contractors. This means Indians will not fight over language, state and religion. This means Indians will ask the politicians to give account of their tax money. This means there will be clean water, proper housing, hygiene sense etc. What a wonderful place. Hope my dreams come true

In a country whose over 40% people are below the poverty line and the standard set by the government for below poverty line is just an income of less than Rs. 28 per day ; where every day some scam or the other comes to surface, where honesty is a rare commodity, where 40% people are illiterate, where elected representatives have a price tag, where elections are fought on caste basis and voters are purchased, where corruption is rampant at every stage, where black money runs the economy, where money comes first and the nation last, where there is no governance and lawlessness is at the peak, etc. etc., any one dreaming of India becoming world's top economy is perhaps living in fools paradise.

why not?,to provide good education to all people, because educated society never choose the government only in the basis of cate,religion etc,..they will give the priority for development,quality of the candidates etc..selection of employees are in the basis of merit only(atleast key areas like army,DRDO,ISRO,Judiciary.etc.).Human resource are the most important resource of India same like oil for Gulf countries.

为什么不会？给所有人提供良好教育，因为一个受过良好教育的社会不会选择一个只关注种族、宗教等等的政府…他们会首先考虑发展、候选人的素质等等，选择公务员，只能看他的功绩如何（至少，在关键部门，像军队、国防、宇航局、司法等等这些部门）。人力资源是印度最重要的事情，就像石油对海湾国家那么重要。

haha.. If only it was so simple.... !! just using some regression model and a bit of statistics on paper does not mean, it's going to happen exactly the same way... This $stup1d firm would have done well by giving the PROBABILITY of achieving that growth by 2050 along with its $1lly report..!! These forecasters are a "piece of $-h-1-t" who could not even forecast the recession in 2009 and can not forecast any other future recession, but are so confident of something that is 40 years away!!! Ridiculous...

哈哈，要是有这么简单就好了…!!只用些数据模型和纸上的统计数据，并不意味着真的会实现…这个蠢蛋公司靠计算概率，预测2050年的增长，这报告价值111美元，有前途…!!!他们甚至都不能预测到2009年的衰退，不能预测到将来任何的衰退，但居然对40年以后的事情这么自信！！！太荒谬了…

Yes we will be the No.1 in 2050 for all types of scams (but not for development). Every year the report increases 15-20 years for the development time.. last time i read it was by 2030 India will be no. 1 ...and now it is 2050.. no suprises !! .. Britishers please come back and rule us i think ur ruling was better than this congress rule... Congress has made this country people shameless!!
