The total flying time of An-148 aircraft (assembled by Voronezh aircraft production association (VASO)) fleet of Rossiya Airlines has exceeded 20 thousand hours. Such an indicator is very important for regional aircraft and it is approaching to the best ones, including indicators of aircraft made by the world’s largest airframers.

                        Operation of Аn-148-100V has been started by Rossiya Airlines in December 2009. At present the airline’s fleet includes six jets of this type. These aircraft perform flights on more than 20 routes, including 18 cities of Russian Federation, 2 ones - in CIS Region and 3 destinations in non-CIS states. An-148-100V aircraft has performed its first international flight to Berlin on March 16th 2011.
      


                The accreditation of An-148 by the German aviation authorities has preceded the start of its flights to Europe. The accreditation has confirmed the jet’s conformity to the requirements of foreign countries. Another IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit – a program intended for assessment of operational management systems and control of air carriers) audit has become an important milestone in the history of An-148’s operation. IOSA procedure has been successfully passed and it has confirmed the aircraft’s operating readiness for international flights.
                        Rossiya Airlines has transported more than 500 thousand passengers on these jets, performing over 8000 flights since the beginning of the aircraft’s operation. The flying time of specific jets has reached 286 hours in May 2011. This indicator was 276 hours in June for average jet and 293 hours – for specific airline’s jets. The flying time of one of the jets has exceeded 400 hours in August and such flying time has been achieved by two jets in September.
                        The first commercial flight of Polet Airlines’ An-148 has been performed from Voronezh to St. Petersburg on September 9th. The representatives of VASO have departed to the capital of the North along with the passengers. Among them are: Assembly Manager, Anatoly Suponetsky, Director on post-sales support, Oleg Rents, and CEO of Polet Airlines, Anatoly Karpov. The first An-148-100E aircraft has arrived to Moscow Domodedovo airport from Voronezh on September 29th. The passengers, who have travelled on-board of new Аn-148-100Е, have been welcomed by CEO of UAC-Antonov, Yuri Grudinin, and representatives of Polet Airlines. They have confirmed that the jet’s level of comfort, fuel efficiency, advanced equipment and capacity make Аn-148s, assembled in Voronezh, optimal aircraft for regional and short-haul flights.
                        Аn-148 is the Russia-Ukraine short-haul passenger aircraft, intended for carrying 65 - 85 passengers. Its maximum range is 4400 km, cruise speed – 820 km/h. Аn-148 has been developed by Antonov ASTC in cooperation with Russia. This aircraft meets all the international requirements on flight safety, emission, navigational accuracy and is able to perform flights to every country without any limitations. The jet is suitable for operation from Russian airfields including unpaved ones.
                        Аn-148 is manufactured by VASO, the large industrial enterprise of Central-Cernozemic Region of Russia. The enterprise has been founded in 1932. At present it is forming part of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). It manufactures wide-body aircraft: Il-96-300, Il-96-400Т and short-haul An-148 aircraft.
