The Su-35S' LE mounted IFF AESA will be installed aboard upcoming production aircraft and retrofitted to existing serial machines, shortly.
During 2013 GRPZ specialists conducted both ground and airborne tests aboard one of the prototype Su-35s. Signal processing algorithms were optimised, software for embedded control systems was evaluated and telemetry analysed. The IP for these was registered with the state on 31/07/14.
The factory index for the said LE IFF AESA is 4283MP (4283МП).

In the course of work was developed a unified digital aircraft radar interrogator 4283MP with active phased array (AESA) radar system secondary placed and passing tests on a modern fighter Su-35S.
Development of airborne radar systems modernized and newly developed aircraft significantly increases the relevant tactical and technical requirements, not only to the primary means of detection, but also secondary radar systems, a crucial problem of determining the nationality of the detected targets in the first place - to an aircraft radar interrogator.
JSC "GRPZ" the first in Russia to develop a unified aircraft radar interrogator AFAR is located in the leading edges of the wings consoles fighter. This product used digital methods of formation and signal processing.
Technology "AESA" can significantly increase the energy potential, as well as increase the range, resolution, work areas at the corners of the identification of objects detected by airborne radar facilities. Used in the transmitter-receiver modules AFAR semiconductor power amplifiers do not require forced cooling, which greatly simplifies the placement of the facility. However, self-contained accommodation onboard radar antenna system allows the interrogator to perform tasks identification purposes parallel with the main work-board radar, as well as perform the tasks of the teams from the other on-board detection systems (optical, etc..).
Implemented solutions in airborne radar interrogator 4283MP development and production of "GRPZ 'ability to work both in the Russian and international recognition systems. Digital signal processing algorithms significantly increase the probability of target identification in a complex target and jamming environment, improve the accuracy of determining the position of targets in space. Information exchange with the aircraft systems is carried out by a unified interface digital interaction types MIL STD 1553B, ARINC 429.
In 2013, the specialists of "GRPZ" took an active part in the trials onboard radar interrogator 4283MP under the project Su-35s, during which a number of full-scale ground-based experiments, worked out functional software, the analysis of telemetry data of the product under flight conditions, optimized algorithms embedded control systems. According to the results of work carried out a number of optimization algorithms with finishing products 4283MP functional software, confirmed by a number of test flights during ICG Su-35S.
