(Reuters) - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said he wants to improve relations with China, South Korea and Russia, while acknowledging difficulties facing ties with his country's Asia-Pacific neighbors.

"Quiet efforts are needed" if Abe is to achieve his goal of meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of a November Pacific Rim meeting in Beijing, Abe told a news conference in New York on Thursday evening.

Peace in that part of Asia will be a possibility if Japan is sincere about "building" peace instead of using the US clout against China and Russia. What's the point of seeking better ties with Japan neighbors? Abe and Obama have been trying to stir up the the instabilities in East Asia by Obama's Pivot-to-Asia, and Abe's approaching to Japan's wartime past and changing Japan post war institutions? Are they failed in their efforts? Or because of the Middle East instabilities? I can see the Eastern Europe getting more peaceful with less US's intervention and Abenomics is failing.
