<P>  ALTHOUGH family planning has done a good job,China still face a lot of challenges.They include:
  Poverty
  The World Bank reports that 46.7 per cent of China's population(approximately 600 million people) live on incomes below the international poverty line of US$2 a day.
  Health and education
  Public expenditure on heath and education,as a percentage of the gross domestic product:

  Pollution
  The air is polluted in at least 225 Chinese citis,as is the water in its seven major watersheds. China(12%) is second only to the United States(24%)in percentage of worldwild carbon dioxide emissions producted.
