the world's most famous secret agent, James Bond (with actor Daniel Craig) will have to make some changes in his action plan in India, when he jumps from a speeding motorbike onto the roof top of a moving train and while on the run, will jump from one moving to train top to another

"One of the conditions for allowing the shoot is that they cannot show India or Indian Railways in bad light and the assurances will have to be given to us in writing.The film will be viewed across the world where it will seem as if all trains here have people travelling on roof tops, which is not true. Also, travelling on the roof of a train is prohibited by law and that cannot be encouraged," railway minister Dinesh Trivedi said, while confirming that the shoot will happen in Goa and in January next year.

While there are other conditions that the filmmakers have to comply to, and are likely to abide by like, keeping the "safety issue" as priority and causing "least inconvenience to passengers," Trivedi has struck a deal for allowing the railways to be used for the Bond film, tentatively titled " Bond 23". He has asked James Bond to be brand amabassador for Indian Railways, for which Trivedi also came up with punch line for a two-minute spot, where 007 will have to say something on the lines of "Indian Railways is stronger than James Bond."

They had asked for Sabarmati in Gujarat or Goa for a site to shoot in, since the film has to show Bond jumping into a sea or a big water body from the train top. Trivedi assured "all possible help from the railways" for the shoot as long as conditions he has mentioned were met with.

My sincere advice to James Bond team, Please do not shoot the toilets of Indian Trains, that will directly reflect our hygiene.. Please let us to be the hypocrates we are.... And lastly Indian railways should take an undertaking from James bond team that they will not be held responsible for any derails or mishaps due to bad maintenance or no maintenance or whatsoever..

It is high time that Indian railways to consider changing the toilet design in the trains. the toilets should be able to hold the 'contents' in a temporary tanks untill it reaches the next station where it can be emptied rather than the current design which expels the contents straight down.... If we keep our house clean , we dont need such commitments from foreigners?? Will our great indian railway officials/ ministry think????

kudos to indian railways for not allowing hollywood movie making machinery to get away with blatant misprojection of india. This is so unlinke other indians who think that firangs are doing us a favor by making a movie here. This is what let to the blatant and racist projection of india in movies like the 'slumdog millionaire". I commend the indian railways for thier strong and positive stand.

Were the Indian Railways waiting for the grease to be applied on their palms? The railways are very conscious of upholding the image of Advanis Shining India and Rajas 2G 3G India. It is "heartening" that after 60 years of western film makers shooting movies in India and/or portraying India as a nation of "filthy starving slums who eat worms for food and grovel for breadcrumbs at 'phoren' feet", some dhoti wearing babu has woken up from his afternoon tea and realized that *just* maybe, the world must be laughing at India. First, it was British sponsored filmmakers who started this; Other Hollywood producers took a cue from this. From the 80's, it was Chinese govt who actively funded and encouraged producers to make shows which denigrated India and Indians in the worst sense. Some extreme examples of how they discredited India was in the likes of movies like "Indiana Jones Temple of Doom", where they showed Indians eating live bugs and worms while the Chinese kid said he was disgusted! (That was a twist!). Other *notable* such movies were of course "Slumdog" where all the eddicated Indian twits dribbled over, "City of Joy" where Calcutta slums became hallmark of India, etc. While ANY movie showing China, is always shot in the most swakiest part of Hong Kong, claiming that "This is China!". Babus never could understand that *image* is everything in today's world
