House urges Merpati to stop buying Chinese planes
Members of the House of Representatives urged state-owned Merpati Nusantara Airlines on Monday to cancel the purchase of the

troubled Chinese MA-60 airplanes.
House Commission II member Akbar Faisal said an investigation into the plane procurement must be conducted.
He said the planes should not be bought since they did not pass verification standards.
“Several names need to be questioned about the aircraft purchases,” he said.
Commission I member Ahmad Muzani asked the House to encourage the National Committee on Transportation Safety (KNKT) to carry

out an immediate investigation of all MA 60s.
“If the aircraft are not proper to fly, we have to return the 13 planes and cancel the purchasing order of two more planes,

” he said.
Merpati bought 15 MA60s from China. As many as 13 have arrived in Indonesia.
An MA60 crashed into the sea on Saturday in West Papua, killing the 27 people on board.


印尼国会议员周一要求国有MNA航空公司取消购买发生问题的新舟60飞机。
第二委员会成员Akbar Faisal 表示必需对飞机的采购过程进行调查。
他说这些飞机没有通过试航标准（美标？国际标？），不应该被购买。
“必须质询一些人以了解购买的具体情况。”
第一委员会成员Ahmad Muzani要求议会敦促国家运输委员会立刻对所有的的新舟60飞机进行调查。
“如果这些飞机不适合飞行，我们就要把这13架退回去，并且取消剩余的2架订单”，他说。
MNA一共从中国购买了15架新舟60，其中13架已经抵达印尼。
周六1架MA60在西巴布亚坠海，造成机上27人死亡。
