Please note that the only similiarity between this "faked chinese crap" and the Galaxy S is the Samsung application processor. And the Samsung processors are "widely used" for most mobile and portable devices thesedays (i.e. Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod, iRiver/Cowon PMPs, Almost all navigations on the market, etc...)

Guts of Galaxy S???? Nice (cunning) way of advertising/selling your piece of crap though... The Meizu's main competitor is HTC, another Horribly Terrible chinese Crap, NOT the big boys like Samsung, LG and Apple!  Report

I agree 100%, the UI looks so damn polished. I wish Google would take some kind of approach to brushing this up. Gingerbread looks like the first step from what we've seen..... but I still want more. I think Meizu should make a whole downloadable theme for Android devices, would get this in a heartbeat.  Report

Good question. For all its talk about powerful hardware, the benchmark on the screenshot doesn't look so hot although we all know how misleading it can be. It'll be most interesting when this gets to the hands of the XDA people and get the proper optimization treatment as I have my doubts about Meizu's ability to tweak the Android to an optimal status as the hardware is more deserving. We know Samsung couldn't really do it.  Report

M9在图片上显示的benchmark跑分成绩不那么尽如人意，虽然我们都知道跑分成绩有时候意义不大。最有趣的是不知道民间的牛人能不能帮忙优化，因为我很怀疑MEIZU有没有能力来把Android系统调教到最佳的性能，毕竟这硬件配置不该只有这样的分数。反正三星优化就很差。

The reason that the benchmark isn't great is because this test unit has been under-clocked to 800Mhz instead of its original frequency 1Ghz. I am not sure why did so, but the official release will be back to 1Ghz for sure. Not sure Meizu's optimizing skills either, however, we got this beast tech spec here. I am sure those XDA geeks can make it up.
Personally, I like its tweaked UI more than all other customized skinnings ........................... top notch  Report

benchmark成绩低是因为CPU主频被限制到800MHZ了，可以确定的是零售版的频率会调回1GHZ的。我也怀疑MEIZU的优化能力。不过我对民间牛人的很有信心。
另外，这是我个人见过的最漂亮的定制版UI。

Yup, yet another device based on the iphone; same shape, same overall design, same size screen and resolution. Even the packaging and the USB cord looks like Apple's. Get creative Meizu.

Honestly, it looks nothing like the iPhone at all.
No glass back
No metal band
Optical trackpad and capacitive buttons
No slide to unlock
App drawer and widgets
No square icons.
The only thing left that's similar is the color black.
This is truly a unique design, except for the color black. Man, I should dye my hair before people say my genes are copying Apple.

背面是磨砂的
没有金属边
光线感应和按钮
不是右滑解锁
文件夹和插件
图标不是方的
唯一相似的地方是机身都是黑色的
这绝对是一个创新的设计，除了黑色。
看来我得去染发了，以免有些人说我的基因都是复制苹果的。

I completely agree, you understand? The point is that even if it does seem in his eyes to look like the iPhone, he should get over it.
I think that this design is definitely unique. I really like what they've done with it, and love the fact that a supposed "KIRF" might actually be just as good if not better than some phones made by more "reputable" companies.
It's entirely possible to go from a KIRF company to an industry leader, and i hope we see more of this type of innovation.  Report
