世界上最微小的直升机是2006年挪威研制的PD-100“黑黄蜂”，这款直升机的体积只有一个香烟盒大小，未来可用于间谍活动或者战场侦察。

　　PD-100“黑黄蜂”由一台微型电动机来进行驱动。这种直升机的发动机叶片只有4英寸大小，可以携带一架微型数码照相机，飞行速度达到20英里/小时，持续飞行时间约为25分钟。PD-100“黑黄蜂”直升机配备着世界上最微小、最轻便的伺服传动装置，重量仅为0.5克，比电动玩具直升机还要轻。
