US - CA - Planes of Fame Airshow 2006

<p>2006 Planes of Fame Airshow will be <b>May 20-21, 2006</b>.&nbsp; Going to be a pretty good show this year as it's the museum's 50th anniversary.&nbsp; Topic is <b>'Fighter Command'</b> this year. I'll update more info as I get it since initial planning is already well under way.<br/></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p></p><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 1.3em;"><b>Thursday, May 18th - REPORT FROM THE AIRSHOW</b></span></p><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 1.3em;">&nbsp;Well, not many fly ins today.&nbsp; Bearcat, Hellcats (2x), Wildcat, Kingcobra, and TBM were all that showed up so far.<br/>&nbsp; The volunteers did an amazing job and are ahead of schedule.&nbsp; Lots of the fences are up.&nbsp; Tomorrow's work should be not so bad.&nbsp; Things are going well considering <br/><br/>&nbsp; Weather wasn't so bad, but very hot.&nbsp; Bring suntan.&nbsp; Haze was not good, but cleared a bit by when the fighters take to the skies later in the day.&nbsp; Nice cold breeze though, that helped.&nbsp; <br/></span></p><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 1.3em;">&nbsp;</span><br/></p><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 1.3em;"><p>&nbsp;</p></span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Engines were ran on a ton of aircraft.&nbsp; All seem to be in good shape.&nbsp; No real complications I hear.&nbsp; </p><p></p><p><br/>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;P-38 is no longer known as 'Porky II'... she's now called 'Skidoo' and has some interesting Nose Art... yes, she's based after a real deal.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/><br/>&nbsp;</p><p><br/><br/></p><p>&nbsp;The P-51A's new scheme is all finished.&nbsp; She looks nice!<br/><strong>EUCLID IS NOW OPEN ONCE AGAIN.&nbsp; Yes, you CAN take EUCLID!!!<br/><br/></strong>&nbsp; And yes... and there was this air-to-air flight :-D&nbsp; He he.&nbsp; P-26 Peashooter, F3F/AT-12 Guardsman, P-51D Mustang, and F-86F Sabre.&nbsp; This is what will open the airshow Sat/Sun.&nbsp; It was hard to get the F-86 in formation because it was near stalling..&nbsp; She was bouncing up and down like crazy</p><p><br/>&nbsp;</p><br/><br/><br/><br/>
