厄瓜多爾今天宣布，將單方面撤銷向印度斯坦航空公司HAL繼續采購Dhruv直升機的合同。HAL曾向這個南美國家出售了七架軍用直升機。
厄瓜多爾在2009至2012年之間接收的七架Dhruv直升機中，至少有四架已經墜毀。其中有一架執行的任務是運送厄瓜多爾總統拉斐爾·科裏亞，所幸他當時不在這架飛機上。

Defense Minister Fernando Cordero announced the action during a news conference Wednesday. He said two of the crashes were caused by mechanical failures. The three remaining Dhruv have been grounded.
Ecuador earlier complained that the Indian company had failed to ship some parts for the helicopters, which were bought for a total of $45.2 million.
HAL's website says the multirole Dhruv can carry as many as 12 passengers and two crewmembers. Nepal and Mauritius also operate Dhruv.
