The state-of-the-art facilities for producing highly-detailed radar imagery in different wavelength ranges were also put on display by the RI PI.
Visitors could examine a mockup of antenna for the “Kurs-NA” - the most up-to-date radio system. In the near future, the “Kurs-NA” will replace the “Kurs-A” system which is used today for spacecraft search, rendezvous and docking.
The mockup of an active antenna module for the spaceborne SAR, designed for “Obzor-P” spacecraft and a mockup of antenna fragment for “Severyanin-M” spaceborne radar, designed and constructed for remote sensing of the Earth drew a lot of attention from the specialists and guests.
The mockup of “Compact-4” quad-band SAR and samples of the PC-board made by the RIPI using LTCC technology (Low Temperature Cofired Ceramic) were of great interest too.
