TEHRAN (FNA)- Yemen's Ansarullah fighters backed by allied army units clashed with Saudi forces in the Yemeni province of Aden, killing at least one Saudi soldier.

The soldier was killed late on Tuesday night, reports said.

The fighting erupted as Riyadh continues to amass its tanks and military vehicles in the war-torn country.

Long columns of M1 Abrams battle tanks were seen rolling out of the port city of Aden Northward to the al-Anad airbase base in Yemen’s Southwestern Lahij province.

The base has been the scene of intense fighting between remnants of the former regime and Yemen’s Ansarullah fighters and allied army forces. Earlier, Saudi bombers carried out 25 raids on the airbase.

Meanwhile, Saudi warplanes bombed the Hidan and Sahar districts of Sa'ada province.

The clashes between the Ansarullah fighters and the Saudi-backed al-Qaeda terrorists as well as the pro-Hadi militias continue in the Southern parts of the country as Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 133 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 5,333 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

Yemeni media outlets said on Wednesday that the Yemeni army’s air defense forces downed the helicopter with a surface-to-air missile in the district of Harad in the western province of Hajjah.
