NEW DELHI: A high-profile delegation from Nanchang, the capital city of Jiangxi, a south-east China province, is in India to study the models structured in the IT hubs of the country. Nanchang is being modelled as the Bangalore of China.

The delegation, which included Jian Hua Gong, deputy mayor of Nanchang, visited Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi to look at the model developed in India to promote the IT sector .

The delegation also tried to woo Indian IT companies to set up shop in Nanchang to exploit the domestic market of China and the opportunities that China’s industrialisation has scooped up.
“Given the amount of investment being planned and the efforts taken towards it, we hope to make Nanchang the Bangalore of China. It has all the traits of being a major IT hub. It is strategically located in the midst of major manufacturing centres. IT engineers come 80% cheap in Nanchang compared to already established centres like Shanghai,” Mr Gong said.
The province is also rolling out some special incentives to woo Indian companies. These are at par with those being offered to local companies but more than companies from other parts of the world. Nanchang is believed to be investing around $700m for a 30 sq km IT park.

Commenting on the nature of Indian entities expected to look at Nanchang, Mr Gong said “We look forward to reputed Indian IT schools to set up centres in Nanchang so that there is exchange of technical know-how.”NEW DELHI: A high-profile delegation from Nanchang, the capital city of Jiangxi, a south-east China province, is in India to study the models structured in the IT hubs of the country. 个人意见南昌要成为班加罗而也是市政府昏头吹过火了,不要没什么优势产业就想发展信息业,那也不是谁都能玩的.
