I guess many blogs will be talking about this election. I don’t want to bore you, so here I am going to talk about how people make fun of him on the internet in China.

No I’m just kidding. But I do have to say that these are just some pictures or words that people and I find entertaining. Don’t take them serious. They are not offensive to anybody and certainly not to America. J These pics apparently make fun of Obama but they implicitly satire about communism.

Chinese on the internet have given Obama a nickname called “Guan Hai,” means viewing sea. This came from a Chinese calligraphy given to Obama by the Chinese government when he visited China. The calligraphy says: viewing sea and listening to waves. The word “waves” in China is “Tao”, which is also in our Chairman Hu’s name. So the calligraphy secretly also means “Obama listens to Hu.” It’s funny to see that the Chinese government would use puns even in an international conference.
中国人在网上给奥巴马取了个外号叫做"观海",意思就是"看大海".这个梗出自于当年中国官方赠与奥巴马的书法作品,上面的内容翻译过来就是:"看大海的景观,听波涛的声音". 而波浪这个词在中文中念"tao",和涛哥的名字发音是一样的(就是同一个字).如果从这个角度看的话这个书法作品就可以理解成:"奥巴马你要乖乖的听涛哥的话".有趣的是中国官方甚至会在国际正式交流中用这种双关语.
People also found a picture of a man similar to Obama back in 1950s in China and they made a story that: Obama’s Dad was a communist and he came to China to support communism last century and he sent his son Barack back to America to be a communist spy.

He has successfully accomplished multiple socialist or communist missions under the first chairman Mao Ze-dong in PRC, so he gains another nickname: Obamao.
鉴于观海已经完成多个红色任务仅次于太祖,所以观海又得到了一个绰号:毛巴马
