a muzzleloader doesn't have a ballistic range of a mile; the bullet (either a .45 or .50 caliber) is too heavy and the charge is too light. the proper way to discharge it is to fire it down into soft ground. something isn't right with this story.

a muzzleloader doesn't have a ballistic range of a mile; the bullet (either a .45 or .50 caliber) is too heavy and the charge is too light. the proper way to discharge it is to fire it down into soft ground. something isn't right with this story.
