Ninety passengers and crew are feared dead after an Ethiopian Boeing-737 airliner crashed off the Mediterranean coast of Lebanon shortly after takeoff in the early hours of Monday.

Below is a list of major of crashes involving Boeing-737 aircraft between 1995 and 2009.

August 9, 1995

A Boeing-737 operated by Guatemala's national airline Aviateca crashed into a volcano some 60km (38 miles) east of San Salvador, killing all seven crew members and 58 passengers.

November 13, 1995

Nine of 129 passengers were killed as a Nigeria Airways flight veered off the runway in Kaduna, Nigeria and was destroyed in a subsequent fire.

December 3, 1995

Seventy two people were killed in Douala, Cameroon, when a Boeing-737 crashed in a mangrove swamp.

February 29, 1996

A Faucett Airlines flight ploughed into a hillside, killing all 117 passengers and six crew members in Arequipa, Peru.

April 3, 1996

A U.S. Air Force aircraft crashed into a hill near Dubrovnik, Croatia. All six crew members and 29 passengers, including U.S. Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown, were killed.

May 8, 1997

A China Southern Airlines plane broke into three pieces during a night landing in Shenzhen, China. Thirty five people lost their lives.

December 19, 1996

A Silk Air flight en route to Singapore from Jakarta plunged into a river near Palembang, Indonesia, killing 104 people.

May 5, 1998

An aircraft leased by Occidental Petroleum from the Peruvian Air Force crashed in a rainstorm near Andoas, Peru on, killing 74 people.

April 6, 1999

A flight to Jeddah to pick up Turkish pilgrims went down in poor weather in Ceyhan, Turkey nine minutes after takeoff. All six occupants were killed.

August 31, 1999

An Argentine passenger jet crashed just after takeoff at Buenos Aires airport into a busy roadway, killing 65 of the 98 passengers and five crew members.

April 19, 2000

An Air Philippines aircraft hit a hill on Samal Island. All seven crew and 124 passengers perished.

July 17, 2000

An Alliance Air crew lost control of their plane, crashing it into a residential area in Patna, India. All six crew members, 49 passengers and five people on the ground died.

March 6, 2003

102 of the 103 people on board an Air Algerie plane died as it struck the perimeter fence at Tamanrasset airport, Algeria due to engine failure.

July 8, 2003

An aircraft crashed into wasteland about 3 miles from the airport in Port Sudan, Sudan, due to engine failure, killing 115 of the 116 passengers on board. A two-year-old boy was the only survivor.

January 4, 2004

All 135 passengers and 13 crew died as an Egyptian operated charter flight went into the sea off Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt two minutes after takeoff.

February 3, 2005

A Kam Air plane hit a mountain ridge in a snowstorm near Kabul, Afghanistan, killing all 104 passengers and eight crew.

August 14, 2005

A Boeing-737 crashed into mountains near Athens, Greece after running out of fuel on. All 115 passengers and six crew were killed.

September 5, 2005

A crash in Medan, Indonesia left 102 of the 117 people on board and at least 47 on the ground dead. The aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff.

October 22, 2005

All 111 passengers and six crew were killed in an air crash about 20 miles northwest of Lagos, Nigeria.

September 30, 2006

All 149 passengers and six crew aboard a Boeing-737 died as the aircraft collided with another jet en-route from Manaus to Brasilia, Brazil.

October 29, 2006

A Boeing-737 crashed in a rainstorm shortly after takeoff in Abuja, Nigeria, leaving 96 of the 105 passengers and crew dead.

January 1, 2007

All 96 passengers and six crew perished as an aircraft owned by the Indonesian private company Adam Air went out of control and broke up over the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.

March 7, 2007

出行考虑320
上次去北京做了一下这个, 想在想一想一身冷汗。
卖的最多的飞机自然摔的最多。
真正要分析事故,应该以“事故率”计算。
比如,一千万次起落里面飞机里面摔了多少架?

如果某某造出的飞机都停在地上不飞,没人敢飞,那自然事故率是0,是全球最好。
图154也不是什么善主
也不考虑一下全球多少架737了

737主要吃亏在不换名字上了。 现在的737NG跟坠毁的737基本相当于F18跟F18E/F的关系,甚至差距还要大。  737这个名字包括了波音的三代飞机。  现在坠毁的都是733这些老一代。  以后买机票的时候看到是73x 738再买。
现在已经坚决不坐736之前的货了。。。
老737差点,NG强多了,不过再怎么,也比TU-154之类要强得多

    154起飞后耳朵胀得厉害,而737300基本没什么感觉,水平差一代了.
再搜下A320吧

737卖的多么~事故自然多点
这个和伊拉克履带朝天的M1坦克一个道理,你可以抓住机会猛喷狂鄙视,但改变不了人家牛逼的现实。

看完这个单子。。。。我想知道未来TG的ARJ21,C919能否比波音737更好。。。

现在嘲笑MD,因为我们没有卖出同类级别的飞机,也没这么大销量。。。等以后TG发展出自己的C919或其他民用大飞机,我们能做的比MD更好吗?

论事故率,图154才是大杀器
737全球近7000架投入商业运营的客机,并且同时囊括从上世纪60年代到世纪末的三代客机的型号,仅仅以以上的数据不足以说明其安全性。而事实上大部分的737事故都发生在30年以上的老机型,而且事故原因大多由于人为造成。

就算其事故率,全球每一时刻都有1250架飞行中的737,平均每架每天3个起降周期,其使用率都远远高过其他任何一种客机,以上面的事故率来计算,737仍然是世界上最安全的客机之一。记得以前有个数据,777安全系数最高,737第二。

波音公司生产了接近7000架波音737啊,比整个空中客车公司生产的各型客机的数量总和都多,拿这个数字作为分母,再把出现事故的波音737作为分子,就会发现波音737还是好飞机。。。真正杀人的东西是图134,空客310,事故率无比牛逼,图154也不是什么善类。。。

捷达,奥拓满大街都是,出车祸的概率当然高了。奔驰宝马出现的几率低,当然看到的车祸就少了。

放在飞机上也一个道理。

要是把60年代生产的737-100和737-200系列算在一起“737”大家族一共有好几千架吧。现在唱主角的“737”系列为737 NG (New Generation)也就是大家熟悉的737-600-700-800-900。
这一NG系列的737和原来的737-200, 300,400,500系列比较已经有很大不同了,唯一相同的是保留了737的名称。

和80后出身的空客320比较,737NG系列的安全性一点不差。

要说到“杀人利器”,我觉得应该是T154, DC-10和波音747

T 154系列不多说了,杀人无数,在中国出过两次机上人员全灭的事故后被国人放弃。现在继续在毛子和波斯杀人(前天不又报废一架)。

747比较冤枉了,性能很先进,但因为载客量大,全世界范围内一次性死亡人数最多的空难都和它有关(荷兰航空和泛美航空70年代的两架747在跑道撞机灭掉的人数现在还是世界纪录。JAL在80年代因为保养不当摔掉的那架747一次就灭了500多鬼子,是单机记录)。

国产大飞机最安全,目前事故次数为零
飞机是否安全和航空公司的培训、保养、运转都有关系,不止飞机好坏这么简单。

还是毛子的好,生产的飞机数量少,最后都摔没了,反正没几架,安全率最高,比如生产的苏-37就一架,接着就坠毁了。;P
