What Did China Do With The Varyag?

phillipines basically have no navy or airforce. a fleet consisting of PLAN's old Ludas and Jianghus can still easily kick Phillipine navy's ass. a carrier carrying Mig-21s is more than the phillipine airforce can chew on. the whole south east asia have weak militaries.
China go no beef with Japan.

Who knows, russia is going to fix up the Gorshkov for India, and that boat is in even similar if not worse condition than the Varyag.

In my opinion China should simulatedly complete the ship, with low cost commercial off the shelf stuff mostly and use it to develop their Doctrine, IF THEY ARE PLANNING TO HAVE AN AIRCRAFTCARRIER IN FUTURE. Spending lot on this to bring it in the service may not be helpful enough. where as the simulated/low cost completion would give them a valuable experience in building their own.

Seriously you can't add or something? even with the figure u posted its 16 Yak-41+ 12 Su-33 thats 28 not 24.
No carrier need to carry that many helicopters, the AC can be redesigned to carry more aircrafts by removing its massive weapon systems like the Granit anti ship missiles. By removing the Grani, you can easily fit at least 12 more aircrafts.

That was a typo it is 28, but whatever. So if you add another 12 that is 40 aircraft total.
The redisigning and resturation of the peice of shit will cost more then a new aircraft carrier tailored to the needs of the PLAN.

Here is the link guys. Also the Varyag is another one of those antics by the political leaders. They might learn something from that carrier which served the russians very well. It was their work horse in the cold war. Currently Varyag is in China being a spectator for chinese people.

Not really though, look at India its paying the russian to restore and redesign the Gorshkov carrier to fit about 24 fighters and some helicopters. the gorshkov is in even worse shape than the Varyag and its about 1/2 of the size of the Varyag.
the Kuz and Varyag are Russian's two only true carriers, it has much more to offer than the Minsk and Kiev currently in China as well.
China is becoming the king of inop carriers, the Mink, the Kiev, the HMS Melbourne, the Varyag, and the Minas

瓦舰不可能一直晾在那里，虽然基辅已经在山海关船厂改造中（娱乐游艇，改完后的上层舰岛灰色图装还是横漂亮的，呵呵），但我相信上面废了那么大的劲才从土耳其把它弄回来，不会再改成娱乐设施的
