VAW-123的鹰眼2000，在E-2C的基础上改型，改进了任务计算机，配备了卫星通信数据能力，采用汉密尔顿标准公司研制的新型8桨叶NP2000螺旋桨，替代了原来的4桨叶螺旋桨。 VAW-123中队是海军首支飞行8桨叶螺旋桨"鹰眼"2000的飞行中队。 据海军飞行军官Nick Panos少校表示，新的8桨叶螺旋桨比传统的4桨叶螺旋桨效率更高，噪声更小，大大减少了飞机的振动,从而使飞行员驾驶起来更加舒适。
