So it seems that when earnings from prostitution and drugs are added into the taxable income the UK owes a lot more money than the rest. After seeing Lithuania entering the EU and the new casinos and associated crime (drugs and prostitution) growing one has to wonder, but who knows? Perhaps the UK is the biggest drug and prostitution center finally overshadowing Paris and Marseilles.

In the states we have learned that the really liberal states who blow money like it was free count on the feds to redistribute the frugal/prudent states money cover them. Worse they get so used to it because there is not cost and no pain when the have to keep asking and taking more. Why doesn't the British Prime Minister take the UK and simply walk away? Iceland did during the financial collapse as they could not afford the expensive EU debts of other EU States like Greece and misc. expensive requirements. Presently the Icelanders have gone back to fishing processing of fish, wool and other businesses they dropped when they joined the EU. Presently they are not not relying on other nations for any sort of assistance.

Seriously, I used to believe in the EU, but nowadays they basically rob the economies that are going well in order to give the money to the poorer EU countries.
But we've had enough of this Robin Hood #$%$, the EU isn't a single country, and never will be, it's time poorer EU countries started getting out of the EU and stopped living above their own means, and pulling their own weight.
I'm really glad Cameron is standing up to this; If only Merkel would do the same, the rest of the EU leaders would finally have to face facts.

A Spainard, why, because, Spain has had such great economic success. Francois failed to mention that under the rules of the treaties France would be receiving 1 billion euros while the UK was being asked to pay 2 billion euros.
No wonder Cameron is pessed off. It looks like the UK finally found a leader with a backbone. Let's face it folk s, Great Britain is an island and truly not part of Europe. They made the wise choice of keeping their own currency. They should cut their losses and run. I would advise Germany to do the same.

Interessant in diesem Zusammenhang ist noch, dass die Schotten im Falle eines Austritts der Briten auch aus der EU austreten. So htten sie am Ende genau das Gegenteil erreicht, was die Befürworter eines "JA zum Pfund" als Vorteil aufgetischt haben. So ist das in der Politik. Da wei man - eigentlich - woran man ist.

Na gut, dann sollen sie halt ihre Sachen packen und gehen. Schon seit Bestehen der EU pochen die Briten auf ihre (Sonder-)Rechte, wollen aber keine Pflichten übernehmen. Sollen sie doch ihr Glück alleine versuchen. Wirtschaftlich sicher kein Verlust für die EU. Industrie gibt es auf der Insel schon lange nicht mehr. Auer Finanzblasenbranche in London sind die eh schon scheintot. Wenn sie bei der EU dabei sein wollen, dann bitte nach denselben Regeln wie alle anderen, auch was die Zahlungen angeht. Statt zwischen Bürokratismus und sinnvollen Gemeinsamkeiten zu unterscheiden, wird sich GB wohl dann verabschieden. Verkleinerung statt Reform. Das Problem mit der viel zu tueren und unsinnigen Eurokratie bleibt dann allerdings.

Wohl kaum ein Land in der EU ist in den letzten Jahren so gepampert worden wie UK. Wenn sie diesen Betrag nicht zahlen wollen dann schmeisst sie endlich aus der EU raus. Schluss mit offenem Markt, Schluss mit Zollfreiheit usw. Es reicht so langsam. Die EU darf hier keinen Przedenzfall schaffen, sonst verliert sie jegliche Berechtigung zu kassieren.

Jose Manuel Barroso, the head of the powerful European Commission which made the demands, confirmed that EU finance ministers would meet to discuss the issue, as Cameron had demanded. But he dismissed the British leader's insistence that he only found out about the bill when he got to the summit on Thursday, saying London was fully aware of the rule change. "This should not have come as a surprise for member states," Barroso told reporters.

So it seems that when earnings from prostitution and drugs are added into the taxable income the UK owes a lot more money than the rest. After seeing Lithuania entering the EU and the new casinos and associated crime (drugs and prostitution) growing one has to wonder, but who knows? Perhaps the UK is the biggest drug and prostitution center finally overshadowing Paris and Marseilles.

if they were smart they would run from the EU. In the states we have learned that the really liberal states who blow money like it was free count on the feds to redistribute the frugal/prudent states money cover them. Worse they get so used to it because there is not cost and no pain when the have to keep asking and taking more. They live in zombie like state with hands out fully expecting santa to drop the money in. Iceland did during the financial collapse as they could not afford the expensive EU debts of other EU States like Greece and misc. expensive requirements. Presently the Icelanders have gone back to fishing processing of fish, wool and other businesses they dropped when they joined the EU. Presently they are not not relying on other nations for any sort of assistance.

GOOD! Its about time someone stood up to those g****mn EU thieves!
Seriously, I used to believe in the EU, but nowadays they basically rob the economies that are going well in order to give the money to the poorer EU countries.
But we've had enough of this Robin Hood #$%$, the EU isn't a single country, and never will be, it's time poorer EU countries started getting out of the EU and stopped living above their own means, and pulling their own weight.
I'm really glad Cameron is standing up to this; If only Merkel would do the same, the rest of the EU leaders would finally have to face facts.

(Here's where the Obama bashers chime in. They would like us all to forget whose lenient non-enforcement of existing laws governing aforesaid banking institutions got us into this mess.) To compensate, the USA sanctions Russia in an attempt to make them join the 'les miserables'. All this results in patriots coming to the fore recommending payback and action and war. All because of the greed of those 'to big to fail'!

A Spainard, why, because, Spain has had such great economic success. Francois failed to mention that under the rules of the treaties France would be receiving 1 billion euros while the UK was being asked to pay 2 billion euros.
No wonder Cameron is pessed off. It looks like the UK finally found a leader with a backbone. Let's face it folk s, Great Britain is an island and truly not part of Europe. They made the wise choice of keeping their own currency. They should cut their losses and run. I would advise Germany to do the same.

Ich bin davon überzeugt, dass die Briten aus der EU austreten werden. Und wenn die darüber abstimmen und das so wollen, dann ist das für mich auch okay. Aber bis dahin sind Vertrge einzuhalten. Interessant in diesem Zusammenhang ist noch, dass die Schotten im Falle eines Austritts der Briten auch aus der EU austreten. So htten sie am Ende genau das Gegenteil erreicht, was die Befürworter eines "JA zum Pfund" als Vorteil aufgetischt haben. So ist das in der Politik. Da wei man - eigentlich - woran man ist.

Na gut, dann sollen sie halt ihre Sachen packen und gehen. Schon seit Bestehen der EU pochen die Briten auf ihre (Sonder-)Rechte, wollen aber keine Pflichten übernehmen. Sollen sie doch ihr Glück alleine versuchen. Wirtschaftlich sicher kein Verlust für die EU. Industrie gibt es auf der Insel schon lange nicht mehr. Auer Finanzblasenbranche in London sind die eh schon scheintot. Wenn sie bei der EU dabei sein wollen, dann bitte nach denselben Regeln wie alle anderen, auch was die Zahlungen angeht. Ansonsten: Tschüss.

Statt zwischen Bürokratismus und sinnvollen Gemeinsamkeiten zu unterscheiden, wird sich GB wohl dann verabschieden. Verkleinerung statt Reform. Das Problem mit der viel zu tueren und unsinnigen Eurokratie bleibt dann allerdings.

Wohl kaum ein Land in der EU ist in den letzten Jahren so gepampert worden wie UK. Wenn sie diesen Betrag nicht zahlen wollen dann schmeisst sie endlich aus der EU raus. Schluss mit offenem Markt, Schluss mit Zollfreiheit usw. Es reicht so langsam. Die EU darf hier keinen Przedenzfall schaffen, sonst verliert sie jegliche Berechtigung zu kassieren.

Cameron wird, wenn er weiter an der Macht bleiben will, den Ausstieg aus der EU verkünden müssen. GB hat sich nie wirklich zur EU bekannt warum auch ? Die Frau mit der Handtasche hat sehr gut gearbeitet. Auch ein Herr Junker wird an diese Vertrgen nichts ndern knnen.

Also, wenn ich mich recht erinnere, war das in dem Jahr so, dass die Englnder der Malwinen-Krieg damals ca. 1Mrd Pfund gekostet hat. Das war ungefhrt die Summe, die Deutschland in dem betreffendem Jahr mehr in den EU-Haushalt gezahlt hatte, als die Englnder...
