臣到达马尼拉后发现此城的绝大部分被放火摧毁。经臣查问当地臣民称中华王国的海贼船经常前来此地侵略，其领袖名曰林凤，曾经大量掠夺中国并且卷收集了大量财物。因此他被中国国王围捕因此他逃到了卢空岛附近并在离该岛四里格截获一艘中国的准备前往马尼拉贸易的商船，从该船上林凤得到了大量的黄金以及其他从当地岛屿获得的受当地人喜欢的东西。靠着这一点，他与当地人达成交易换取大量金银。他还通过威胁当地人来得到他们的货物从而与我国人交易。
