U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta is urging countries involved in territorial disputes in the Asia-Pacific region to find a way to peacefully resolve those problems before they spark provocations and violence.
The defense chief said his conversations with the Japanese and Chinese would echo what U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told them earlier this month -- that they must find a process for settling the disputes. The U.S., he said, does not take a position with regard to the disputed lands.
Panetta met on Sept. 17 in Tokyo with Japanese Defense Minister Satoshi Morimoto and Foreign Minister Koichiro Genba. He is then traveling to Yokota Air Base, about 30 miles northwest of Tokyo, to meet with U.S. troops before he heads to Beijing.

美国是否站到前台来与中国对决，取决于中国维护自己利益的决心有多大。
说白了，如果中国摆出玉石俱焚誓死一战的架势，美国当然不会冒着自己被打残的危险替别国出头，如果中国象黔驴一样色厉内荏，美国当然不会客气。
问题是没有了血性只剩下理性的中国能如此雄起吗？
战争哪有说准备到万无一失没有悬念的地步，真到了那一步战争反而就不会发生了。就是美国这样的牛人面对中国也不敢说就是毫无悬念的必胜，何况是中国。
历史上日本是一个有着冒险赌国运传统的国家，日俄战争，甲午海战，偷袭珍珠港都是例子，中国要小心................
