I do understand it when people say it may stand out like a sore thumb in picturesque Swiss cities but I think there is Islamophobia behind this all the way and that is the problem.
Some would say that people cant worship freely in a tiny minority of Muslim countries and I hope that was not the case. We can only frown at their intolerance.

I do understand it when people say it may stand out like a sore thumb in picturesque Swiss cities but I think there is Islamophobia behind this all the way and that is the problem.
Some would say that people cant worship freely in a tiny minority of Muslim countries and I hope that was not the case. We can only frown at their intolerance.

(Landscape and Cityscape) If I am a real Swiss, I would vote in favor because the design of a Mosque don't exactly blends into the buildings around it. (Landscape and Cityscape) If I am a real Swiss, I would vote in favor because the design of a Mosque don't exactly blends into the buildings around it. Having said that, I have traveled to Egypt and Kuwait before and have seen Mosques in their local communities. The look fantastic in their own communities when everything aligns.

Why don't they call it culture invasion instead. This vote bans building new mosques / minarets and not to destroy the ones that are already there.
Personally, I don't see the Swiss being racist here because I was a visual minority working and living in Switzerland for 3 years and I have never experienced any racial prejudice.
