The magazine article compared the 2 types (and the F/A-18) and concluded that the Su-27 would make an excellent replacement for the Tomcat.
The mag also had a 'doctored' photo of the visiting Su-27's (see 1. above) in US Navy markings.
As for any other Su-27's - whether in government hands or private individuals - has anyone any evidence ?
