TEHRAN (FNA)- Saudi Arabia has sent a secret letter to leader of the Hezb-e Islami political party Gulbuddin Hekmatyar to assassinate Pakistani officials, an Arab media report said.

The Arabic-language Alwaie News said Riyadh has demanded Hekmatyar to stage terror attacks on the lives of senior Islamabad officials after they refrained from joining the Saudi-led coalition in the war on Yemen two months ago.

"The Saudi kingdom has demanded the leader of Afghanistan's Hezb-e Islami to stage the terror operations in Pakistan to take revenge from Islamabad for its defiance," the website wrote.

The report said Riyadh has demanded Hekmatyar to stage a series of terror operations on the lives of Pakistani leaders, figures and tribes, but declined to reveal any further details.

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar is the founder and active leader of the Hezb-e Islami political party, and a designated "global terrorist" by the United States. After escaping from prison in Afghanistan in 1973, he moved to Pakistan.

Hekmatyar voiced his full support for the Saudi aggression against Yemen since the airstrikes started over 80 days ago. He has also declared his readiness to join the coalition with his troops.

A Saudi citizen was killed and another injured near the Yemen border on Friday by shelling from forces loyal to former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh and Houthi rebels, Saudi civil defense forces said.

The shelling occurred after Friday prayers as people were leaving a mosque in the southwestern Saudi border area of Jizan and parts of the mosque were damaged, a statement on the official Saudi news agency SPA said

An alliance of Gulf Arab nations has been bombing Houthi militia and army units loyal to former president Saleh that control much of Yemen since March 26 in what they say is an attempt to restore exiled President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

Saudi forces and the Houthis have been trading fire across the border since the Arab alliance began its military operations.

On Saturday, the Houthis and their allies fired a Scud missile at Saudi Arabia that the kingdom said it shot down.

The DPRK, belonging to group H with Bahrain, Uzbekistan, Yemen and Philippines, defeated Yemen 1:0 in the first match in Qatar on June 11.
The chief coach of the DPRK team is Kim Chang Bok and its mainstay footballers include Ri Myong Guk, Pak Kwang Ryong and Ri Yong Jik, who were active in the 17th Asian Games.
The DPRK will play the second match with Uzbekistan in Pyongyang on June 16.
