Secretary of State Hillary Clinton vowedthe United States would remain active in the South Pacific for the "longhaul" but said the region was big enough for a rising China.

@HawkMan: do not get up set. Chinese aidin the same region is 600 millions dollars. Hillary spends only 32 million. Itis just her pocket money. There are 16 countries attending the meeting, the aidper country is only a little more that 2 millions. She is very frugal.

You guy don't understand how foreign aidworks at all ........ When US wanna give few M$ as foreign aids, it take that $and buy from US Companies all the products that it wanna give ....... it is adisguised way to reinject M$ back into US economy.
When US wanna help Ethiopia, it buy milk, farm products from US farmers, anduse US shipping companies to ship etc...... and then declared all $ spent asforeign aids.
