你说对了……
freak原本是名词或形容词，表示怪异的人或事物，或者奇异的特质。freak out本来应该是noun phrase，表示那种怪诞的行为，这里可能是使动用法。

没怎么看过英文的歌词，难道和诗歌一样可以将整句拆开重新起行并大写首字母么？

差不多……
看到这个animal ，由于没有上下文context，因此不作评价。否则这个词未必能轻易地翻译成 动物。 因为人将自己肉体的属性当作自然属性的典型，故animal也可指代肉体。

我校吴其尧教授在翻译Philip Roth的The Dying Animal 时为了避免情色暗示，把“肉体”换成“肉身”。:D
感觉还是有点问题，不然怎么有It is a lovely thing that we 这样的句子？联系下文也无法衔接。
哈哈````所以哦，好多我自己也犯怵……

animal有一处，我翻成原始的，呵呵，其他的保留原意
有时原文的不严谨或者非正式表达会给译者带来很大麻烦，特别是对背景不熟悉的异国译者。
