关于死者驾车的描述：
这里说了死者是独自驾车向北行驶的。
幸存者是驾车向南行驶。
对于事故现场的描述：
这里说明了事故发生后马6是停在向北的路上。沃克斯豪森则出了路面。
通过楼主所发布的照片看，马6的撞击侧在右侧，而沃克斯豪森的撞击侧也是在右侧，而英国是典型的右驾左行国家，撞击的是司机侧，证实两车行驶的时候的大致方向是正确的。而如图所示，马6在路的右侧（相对于它的行驶方向）这也就意味着马6已经侵入了对向车道，因此可以推测出马6应该是向南行驶的。
这样的话，结论正好和楼主所说相反。不过和“车越新越安全”以及“A柱/驾驶舱不变形即安全”这两条定理相符合。

Yesterday at the scene, a black Mazda 6 could be seen sitting in the northbound carriageway just before it was taken away by a vehicle recovery unit. The front of the car was severely damaged and the driver’s side door had been cut away.
A grey Vauxhall Astra Estate had crossed the barrier on the opposite side of the road and finished on a grass embankment facing inwards towards the road. The bonnet of the car bonnet was badly crumpled and the windscreen had been smashed.
There was little debris visible on the road but sand had been laid down on top of oil patches that had spilled from the vehicles.

大家都看过这种节目吧：汽车碰撞实验后，技术人员观察碰撞后场景，都说A柱和乘员舱完整，气囊顺利爆开，轮胎或发动机没有侵入车体，乘员应该无大恙。这车除了气囊看不清以外似乎根本没事。所以我在想是不是这女司机没系安全带，否则怎么直接就挂了。

不会吧，马6的前风挡基本完好，这种迎头撞，没系安全带的话，人应该会直接顶在风挡上? 而且英国可跟国内不一样，我去英国好多次了，除了中国人，从来没有看到人上车不系安全带的。

我也是瞎猜的，因为这么完整的乘员舱，很难想象能直接把人挂掉。没系安全带在国内挺多的，英国确实罕见。
还有就是少见情况，事发时正好趴在方向盘上操作导航（女司机习惯不良），被气囊打死；或是车内物品被气囊弹飞打到脑袋了。我还是善意猜测的，因为如果什么问题都没，就这样挂了的话，还是让我很震惊。

我听英国人说过，英国警察监控的摄像头能自动扫描出驾驶员系没系安全带，摄像头到处都是，因此英国人一上车第一件事就是系安全带。

自动扫描是啥？ 高清摄像头就可以完全做到了

把图放大了看，马6的A柱已经严重变形了，程Z字状，右前轮已经侵入乘客舱，乘客舱内有破损零件从仪表台向乘客方向伸出但未脱落，驾驶员侧车门不在了，应该是救援人员破拆造成，前挡风玻璃因为A柱变形也已经右下侧开始破裂；欧宝右侧A柱及A柱至B柱间的顶棚都已经严重变形，驾驶员侧车门还在，乘客应该没有被困在驾驶舱，玻璃也是破裂。
看起来，马6的损失相对比较小，乘客难道是被侵入乘客舱的破裂仪表台组件打中了？还是乘客本身自己身体有恙？

楼上有坛友指出了，右前轮被撞进驾驶舱了，很有可能女司机被撞溃缩的发动机舱部分给挤死了。
