<P>【CNN】</P><P>New threat to kill China hostages</P><P>Friday, January 21, 2005 Posted: 1252 GMT (2052 HKT) </P><P>BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A group calling itself "The Islamic Resistance Movement," has issued a new video calling for the Chinese government to issue a statement saying it will not allow its citizens to work for Americans in Iraq, threatening to kill eight Chinese hostages.</B></P><P>
</P><P>The eight Chinese men show their passports to the camera</P><P>The men were shown on a video from the Islamic group that surfaced Tuesday saying the men had been taken captive.</P><P>An official in China's embassy in Baghdad confirmed the men were from China, but said they apparently never worked in Iraq, and probably had been trying to leave Iraq after they were unable to find jobs.</P><P>Although about 40 Chinese nationals work in Iraq, the official said no Chinese companies had ever been contracted with the U.S. government in that country.</P><P>In Friday's video, an Arabic speaker said: "We would like to inform you that the Chinese ambassador has defended his position in Iraq and said that he is not working with the Americans."</P><P>He added: "Iraq is a battlefield and no mercy will be given to those who work with our enemies ... the occupiers.</P><P>"We ask that your government to issue a statement forbidding the Chinese citizens from entering Iraq and this will be considered as a positive gesture and will make us look mercifully on these hostages," the speaker continued. </P><P>Earlier in the week, the group said it had taken the men hostage as they were trying to leave Iraq. 事情越看越不简单,美,英发动对伊拉克战争,这帮伊拉克武装分子倒没有说是威胁美,英政府禁止该国公民入境,反而恐吓什么事也没干的中国政府,感觉很有问题. 如果是美国在背后玩的鬼,就很好解释了,那就是美国借伊拉克武装分子的手,把中国势力赶出伊拉克. 怎么到现在还没有看到 关于这次人质危机的"东方时代环球时事解读"呢?我觉得东方评论员的时事点评还是很精辟的.
<P>这件事非常蹊跷。有必要调查绑架中国人质的恐怖分子是否有前科。若这群恐怖分子没有其他绑架记录的话，可以肯定美国在幕后操纵。让中国与伊拉克人为敌有几点好处。首先可以得到伊拉克人更多的支持，其次分化了反叛势力，最后教训了中国政府。</P><P>不管怎么说，反叛武装不成气候，不得人心，就算是为了伊主权，也早晚被历史所抛弃。对于伊拉克的未来，只有以联合国为主导的重建工作才有希望。</P>
