Such a conflict could be so huge that we'd have to reinstate the draft. Which is unacceptab-le; putting rich kids at risk of service. Much better to choose smaller conflicts where poor kids can die for corp. profits.

Why do our armed forces need to become the world's private police force, McCain? Why must our hard earned tax dollars be spent to maintain the business interests of the rest of the world? What oil companies are going to profit from the Asian oil fields? Are they subsidized-? Why are we providing them military resources when they can write off their own mercenary forces? Why John? You aren't planning on running for Senator again, are you?

Military confrontat-ions between large powers on the scale of World War II are less likely now, if only because they could provide only Pyrrhic victories for either side. The new battlefiel-ds are economic and technologi-cal and the amoral multinatio-nal corporatio-ns are busy abandoning the United States to third-worl-d status. No shots need to be fired - we've been bled economical-ly, wasting a fortune in the Middle East and are rapidly giving up any competitiv-eness to our rising economic rivals.
