<p> 明军平壤之役火炮发挥了巨大的作用.</p><p> 万历二十一年（1593 年）一月五日，大军进抵平壤城下。平壤城易守难攻。东有大同、长庆二门，南有芦门、含毯二门，西有普通、七星二门，北有密台门，有牡丹峰高耸，地形险要。当时日本守军为小西行长的第一军，共1万5千人，配备了火绳枪等火器。李如松的部署如下：蓟镇游击吴惟忠率领步兵当先，辽东副总兵查大受率领骑兵居后，攻击北部要塞牡丹峰；中军杨元、右军张世爵领兵进攻城西七星门；左军李如柏（李成梁另一子）、参将李芳春领兵进攻城西普通门；祖承训率领明军乔装为朝鲜军麻痹日军，力攻城南芦门；主帅李如松督阵。李如松同时部署明军的王牌武器――虎蹲炮、大将军炮、佛郎机炮，据说威力最大的大将军炮就超过了一百门，届时全力轰击日军阵地。明军主力将进攻平壤的南、西、北三个方向，东面给日军留出退军路线。 <br/><br/>一月八日晨，平壤之役打响了。随着主帅李如松一声令下，金鼓声大作，喊杀声四起，明军开始攻城。明军劲弩齐发，巨炮齐轰，一时火焰蔽空，震天动地。日军火绳枪虽然略优于明军火统，但日军却没有明军威力强大的火炮。明军火炮射出的铅弹不断落入敌阵，给日军造成很大杀伤。日军战斗力非常顽强，拼命死守，火器兵手执火绳枪雨点般射向近距离攻城的明军。明军略微受阻，后续攻击部队继续攻城。当时战况十分惨烈，神机营参将骆尚志冒险登城，腹部被滚石击中，仍然挺立不退。年近60的老将吴惟忠，胸部中弹，犹自大呼督战。李如松的坐骑被敌火绳枪手击毙，李如柏的头盔中弹，兄弟二人都置之不顾，愈战愈勇。主将如此奋勇，何况士卒？ <br/><br/>祖承训率领的明军率先突破城南的芦门。日军一直以为芦门方向的是战力很弱的朝鲜军，因而没有重点部署兵力。近距离时日军才发现这是伪装为朝鲜军的明军，这时明军手中的火统已经开火，日军纷纷倒下，开始败退，芦门被明军攻破。接着含谈门、普通门、七星门、牡丹峰也相继被明军攻占。小西行长一看大势已去，率领残兵退守城北一隅风月楼。入夜，日军自东南方向突破，渡过大同江向王京退却。沿途早有李如松部署的李宁和查大受伏兵等候，一阵掩杀，击毙数百日军。 <br/><br/>平壤的收复有着相当大的战略意义，整个朝鲜半岛的战争形势就此逆转。平壤之役是很典型的攻坚战，颇具近代化战争的特征。此役中明军有非常杰出的表现。首先明军以优势兵力和火力主攻城西，另以奇兵伪装成朝军强攻城南，这种部署完全出乎日军的意料之外。其次，城东给日军留出退路，使得日军无死守之志。第三，明军动用了当时在世界上比较先进的火炮，给日军以极大的杀伤和震撼。明军攻城时，曾有日将大友义统率领一支部队来增援小西行长，结果被明军震天动地的炮声所吓阻，不战而退。第四，在日军撤退路线上设有伏兵，使日军再受重创。李如松就凭此一战，威名大振，可以说平壤大捷超过其父李成梁在辽东任何一次战役。 <br/><br/>有些日本史料极力淡化平壤之役。根据日本人的记述，日军此役似乎败的很体面。日军由于平壤和王京汉城距离太远，本就打算放弃。在明军攻城后，小西行长特意修书李如松，日军愿意退去，于是乎日军大摇大摆，安然退到了汉城。这种说法显然有“讳言”和“粉饰”败绩之嫌。在明军强大的炮火面前，日军之败是必然的，无论如何也体面不起来的。事实上，因援兵迟迟不来，平壤大部已被明军攻占，日军军粮、兵营悉数又被明军焚毁，小西行长眼看无法固守，遂与日军诸将商议，连夜撤回汉城。迫于明军的压力，孤军深入的日军第二军加藤清正部也撤回到汉城一带布防。根据《日本战史》，平壤之役后，小西行长部减员一万一千三百余名，只余六千六百人，减员近三分之二。 <br/><br/></p>
