商人力推，吃狗成节
有着600万人口玉林是桂东南最发达的一个城市，全国最大的内燃机生产基地落户于此。然而，让外省人记住它的更多的是那个饱受争议的“荔枝狗肉节”。
据当地市民称，玉林自古就有吃狗的传统，民间有“吃了夏至狗，西风绕道走”等说法，大意是如此能抵抗疾患入侵。但从上世界90年代末开始，吃狗之风从农村扩展到城市，狗肉馆越来越多，小摊宰杀变得成行城市。特别是荔枝热销时节，人们都喜欢涌上街头，呼朋唤友吃荔枝品狗肉，特别是“荔枝狗肉节”当天，其热闹程度不亚于中秋节。
但当地无论官方还是民间，没有人能说得清楚，夏至节、吃狗肉、品荔枝有何关联？也没有谁能说得清楚，荔枝狗肉节，究竟缘何兴起？又如何流行开来？
“我相信一个流行的说法，当年几个闲得坐着拍大腿的酒鬼，为了找个理由吃喝而瞎编出来的节日。”的士司机老吴如此告诉记者，“由于夏至、荔枝、狗肉三者结合在一起有了噱头也有了商机，于是生意人积极推动，民间疯狂追捧，就自发形成了荔枝狗肉节。”
最初人们吃的狗肉，大多来自玉林本地，而随着该节今年逾加火爆，本地的狗源远不能满足市场的需要。“荔枝反正我们玉林有的是，哪里去弄狗是个问题，后来就有专门的贩子去外省收购。”家住前站路的士多店老板郑先生如是说。
2010年，玉林荔枝狗肉节被国内一些动物保护的公益组织知晓，开始受到关注。2011年和2012年，若干公益组织自发组成了抵制者，开始到玉林狗肉档抵制。去年夏至日当天，一名爱狗人士前往玉林，在堆满狗肉的桌子前下跪，“向狗谢罪”。很快，这张图片被传至网络，引发集体声讨。
2013年玉林荔枝狗肉节开幕前一周，动物权益保护组织即开始在网上组织抵制活动，至6月21日夏至当天，众多明星加入抵制玉林荔枝狗肉节行列。舒淇、黄日华、佘诗曼、吴佩慈等人先后通过微博，呼吁取消玉林荔枝狗肉节，“放过朋友”，“给狗尊严”。接着抵制者与维护者在网上掀起激烈骂战，玉林的荔枝狗肉节，终于成为“舆论焦点”。

有着600万人口玉林是桂东南最发达的一个城市，全国最大的内燃机生产基地落户于此。然而，让外省人记住它的更多的是那个饱受争议的“荔枝狗肉节”。
据当地市民称，玉林自古就有吃狗的传统，民间有“吃了夏至狗，西风绕道走”等说法，大意是如此能抵抗疾患入侵。但从上世界90年代末开始，吃狗之风从农村扩展到城市，狗肉馆越来越多，小摊宰杀变得成行城市。特别是荔枝热销时节，人们都喜欢涌上街头，呼朋唤友吃荔枝品狗肉，特别是“荔枝狗肉节”当天，其热闹程度不亚于中秋节。
但当地无论官方还是民间，没有人能说得清楚，夏至节、吃狗肉、品荔枝有何关联？也没有谁能说得清楚，荔枝狗肉节，究竟缘何兴起？又如何流行开来？
“我相信一个流行的说法，当年几个闲得坐着拍大腿的酒鬼，为了找个理由吃喝而瞎编出来的节日。”的士司机老吴如此告诉记者，“由于夏至、荔枝、狗肉三者结合在一起有了噱头也有了商机，于是生意人积极推动，民间疯狂追捧，就自发形成了荔枝狗肉节。”
最初人们吃的狗肉，大多来自玉林本地，而随着该节今年逾加火爆，本地的狗源远不能满足市场的需要。“荔枝反正我们玉林有的是，哪里去弄狗是个问题，后来就有专门的贩子去外省收购。”家住前站路的士多店老板郑先生如是说。
2010年，玉林荔枝狗肉节被国内一些动物保护的公益组织知晓，开始受到关注。2011年和2012年，若干公益组织自发组成了抵制者，开始到玉林狗肉档抵制。去年夏至日当天，一名爱狗人士前往玉林，在堆满狗肉的桌子前下跪，“向狗谢罪”。很快，这张图片被传至网络，引发集体声讨。
2013年玉林荔枝狗肉节开幕前一周，动物权益保护组织即开始在网上组织抵制活动，至6月21日夏至当天，众多明星加入抵制玉林荔枝狗肉节行列。舒淇、黄日华、佘诗曼、吴佩慈等人先后通过微博，呼吁取消玉林荔枝狗肉节，“放过朋友”，“给狗尊严”。接着抵制者与维护者在网上掀起激烈骂战，玉林的荔枝狗肉节，终于成为“舆论焦点”。

狗肉好长时间没吃了，那天下馆子吃狗肉去
原来不知道玉林有这个节，经过媒体一再报道我知道了。
有机会一定要在夏至那天去那儿体会一下。

这些狗屁动物保护者！侮辱了“动物保护者”这个名词，明明是一群狗奴罢了！每年城市里那么多流浪狗，怎么来的？还不是这群不负责任的养狗的给遗弃的！城市里那么多狗救助都救助不过来，这帮渣滓居然还有闲心跑到广西去闹！人家吃狗是习惯、是习俗，狗特么什么时候有人权了？居然开始讲“尊严”这高级玩意儿了？狗东西它自个能理解的了这玩意儿吗？
